Recollection

A droplet on the mirror of the mind,
convexity of grandeur and disdain
which curves to make more visible the way
deluding self by superfice of shine.
Now every sad reflection is an eye,
every pore a portal for the soul
to venture through, and see more shadowed plane
which crouches at the edge of cosmic orb
awaiting its ascension through the curve
of spacetime lurching violent towards fate.
Odd destiny, with tragicomic quirk
enjoys its glamorous proclivity
to edge with curiosity berserk
towards the looming singularity
of evolution quick, precarious,
bright vortex made of colors hyperreal.
The more that one may think, that one may feel
the way the thinker turns upon its wheel
and churns the passions, colloidlike the drink:
dark-sanguinary veins unto the brink
of pressure which the mortal vessel holds —
and transubstantiation then unfolds
whereby the flesh is sublimated all,
existence become sweet — no more the gall
of living's sourness to pucker lips
and in that fatal instance, grand eclipse
of body, self, and actuating sun
must recollect the lost unto the One.
