With the World Health Organization recently officially declaring the novel Coronavirus (Covid-19) a world pandemic, and President Donald Trump quickly following in their footsteps by declaring a national emergency, the masses have been induced into a state of panic. And with the prospect of a vaccine hitting the market still months away at the soonest, and no known cure or preventative for the highly contagious and previously unknown type of Coronavirus now affecting the world, the FDA and media have launched an all-out campaign against the one natural medicine that very likely holds the key to being a functional preventative and possibly even cure - colloidal silver.
Silver has long been known for its antibacterial and anti-fungal properties, rendering it one of the most practical and widely used natural medicines in existence, commonly known as the universal natural antibiotic, which can literally kills hundreds of disease-causing pathogens and infections, on contact almost instantly, and when ingested does so within the body without damaging any healthy cells or bacteria. Also, silver doesn’t build up immunity or resistance in the organisms it kills as problematically occurs with pharmaceutical antibiotics, which then renders the pharmaceuticals relativelyk ineffective after one or several uses, necessitating a new and different antibiotic to treat the same type of infection.
Colloidal silver, often referred to as silver water and also known as ionic silver, is a solution of water infused with electrically charged silver particles - silver ions - suspended in the water, which creates a colloid, hence the name. Colloidal silver is the most commonly used medicinal silver, and silver ions have been proven to effectively target, bond to and destroy a number of disease-causing pathogens, but other forms of silver are effectively used as well, such as structured silver.
Unfortunately, despite a plethora of medical and scientific research conclusively proving a wide variety of medicinal benefits of silver, Big Pharma has done everything in their power to suppress and discredit this information, while government agencies and the corporate media are used to sell the public a number of outright lies to achieve this goal, as we will soon see.
My personal introduction to this amazing natural medicine was quite a number of years ago, while visiting an older friend who happened to be a colloidal silver aficionado after having just come down with a terrible throat infection of some type. Having heard of my dilemma, and having plenty on hand as he made colloidal silver himself, he offered me a glass of silver water, which I thankfully did not turn down. Within ten minutes, my soar throat, which had been one of the worst I had ever had, was completely gone, and I was amazed! Needless to say, I have been a fan ever since, and until quite recently after unintentionally parting ways with my homemade silver generator, I had been making my own for years, and often drank it on a daily basis as a disease preventative and immune booster.
Last year I made an in-depth post on how to make your own colloidal silver at practically no cost, and while the silver that effectively cured my soar throat instantaneously was made with this exact method, and is certainly effective against a number of bacteria and fungi, I wouldn’t recommend this process to make a silver intended to be effective against the coronavirus or other viruses, due the necessity of a colloidal silver solution made up of extremely small ionic silver nanoparticles to achieve the antiviral properties of silver. What is most interesting and relevant to the current coronavirus outbreak, in regards to medicinal silver, is that in recent years a number of scientific and medical studies have begun to demonstrate that silver is not only a powerful natural antibiotic, but also has potent antiviral properties as well, with very small ionic Nanosilver particles shown to be effective at preventing and possibly even curing a number of known deadly viruses, including HIV and previously known human Coronaviruses such as SARS.
For example, Ricardo A. Frazer, in an article published in the Journal of Nanomedicine and Nanotechnology, writes that:
Empirical evidence suggests that silver is an effective antivirus agent that may be used in treatment and management of HIV/AIDS and other major diseases...
We will take a look at some of this evidence below, but when the “collective authoritative medical literature documents the efficacy of silver particles against over 24 viruses,” it is probably worth further investigating its potential efficacy against Covid-19, rather than dismissing it outright as a medical fraud.
But that is exactly what the government and mainstream media have been doing and continue to do in the wake of this novel coronavirus outbreak.
At the beginning of the week, the FDA launched a major campaign to crack down on what it considers false advertising about the potential health benefits of silver in relation to Coronavirus, and the corporate media has likewise followed suit with a major propaganda campaign to push the Big Pharma-backed government agenda of hiding the truth about silver as an effective natural medicine.
As reported by the New York Times,
The Food and Drug Administration said on Monday that it had warned seven companies to stop selling products that claim to cure or prevent the coronavirus, saying such products were a threat to public health because they might prompt consumers to stop or delay appropriate medical treatment.
It is unclear exactly what “appropriate medical treatment” it would “stop or delay” people from getting, considering that at the same time “the F.D.A. and F.T.C. statement noted that there were no vaccines or drugs approved to treat the coronavirus.”
In other words, they consider it a “threat to public health” for people to take any natural medicine as a Coronavirus preventative that hasn’t yet been proven effective by their approved process, because doing so will apparently “stop or delay” people from getting “appropriate medical treatment” from the very same government-sanctioned ‘professionals’ who admittedly have no vaccine, cure, or preventative.
Top among these products allegedly engaging in ‘dangerous false advertising’ was of course colloidal silver. This is because, according to The New Atlas: “In 1999, the FDA banned colloidal silver supplement sellers from making any therapeutic claims as scientists comprehensively established the product to have no medical value, and a number of dangerous side effects.”
This “no medical value” claim is a flat out lie, with literally dozens of scientific and medical studies documenting the enormous medical value of colloidal silver as being effective against hundreds of pathogens,and documentation of this knowledge stretching back decades!
In 1919, Alfred Searle, in his book The Use of Colloids in Health and Disease, wrote that:
"Applying colloidal silver to human subjects has been done in a large number of cases with astonishingly successful results...it has the advantage of being rapidly fatal to parasites without toxic action on its host. It is quite stable. It protects rabbits from ten times the lethal dose of tetanus or diphtheria toxin."
And in August of 1920, on page 338 of the National Druggist, it is written that:
“…colloidal silver has proved its value in combating the following ailments among others -- tonsilitis, gonorrhoeal conjunctivitis, spring catarrh, pustular eczema of scalp, septic ulcers of legs, boils, chronic cystitis, ringworm, soft sores. But we must not prolong the list of the good works of colloidal silver. Suffice it to say that at the present time it is the most extensively used in medicine of all the sols.”

As to the side effects, the only known ‘dangerous’ side effect is Argyria, a condition that turns the skin blue-purple, and cosmetics aside is otherwise entirely harmless. It is also easily avoidable by consuming only properly prepared colloidal silver, rather than impure silver that may contain silver chloride, and not consistently overdosing day after day for months on end.
There are nonetheless numerous mainstream outlets reporting on this news, all of them blindly regurgitating the government propaganda, and none of them questioning or pointing out the inherent deception in such statements and steps taken by the FDA. This is particularly alarming, considering that even ‘prestigious’ mainstream outlets like the Wall Street Journal have in the past reported on the disease-fighting capabilities of ionic silver, quoting a reputable scientist in the process.
Silver, in the form of a metal or as dissolved ions, fights microorganisms by interfering with processes such as how they breathe and reproduce. Tests show that silver ions kill microorganisms ranging from harmful strains of e. coli that cause food-borne diseases to the staphylococcus bacteria responsible for serious infections.
The metal becomes more active against microbes when it’s made into small particles because they can cover more surface area when they come into direct contact with bacteria, says Andrew Maynard, a physicist and chief scientific adviser to the Project on Emerging Nanotechnologies at the Woodrow Wilson International Center for Scholars in Washington.”
It is almost as if the media is suffering from a case of Amnesia, or just hopes their audience is far to ignorant to see through the blatant deception.
One of the companies warned by the FDA is called Pure Vital Silver, and cited in the warning letter sent to them is what the The New Atlas referred to “as a number of false claims” made on their Facebook page.
“So it’s actually widely acknowledged in both science and the medical industry that ionic silver kills coronaviruses. And it’s now known that the Chinese are employing ionic silver in their fight against the spread of the coronavirus,” one post allegedly claimed.
While “widely acknowledged” might be a tad bit of an exaggeration, it is absolutely 100% acknowledged in the scientific and medical industries that ionic silver kills coronaviruses. That is not debatable, as we will see, and yet the FDA and mainstream media outlets are painting this as a “false” and “dubious” claim. The solution to all of this ‘misinformation’ regarding silver as a cure for the coronavirus is simple, regardless of its proven efficacy against hundreds of other pathogens: Don’t drink silver.
It is almost as if this reaction has little to do with the coronavirus itself, and everything to do with attacking and discrediting silver as a viable natural medicine in general.
Now I have no idea if China is currently using ionic silver in their fight against this novel coronavirus outbreak, but they most certainly have employed ionic silver in the fight against other Cornaviruses such as SARS, so it is plausible.
In 2004, The Asia Times reported on Polygiene, a substance made and tested by the Swedish chemical company, Perstorp, based in Italy, that kills the SARS virus within 24 hours of contact. The key to the solution’s fast-working efficacy against SARS (and a variety of bacteria) was silver.
“Luigi Mocchia, scientist and managing director at Perstorp, explained that Polygiene has an embedded silver compound that emitted the ion Ag+, which kills bacteria,” Asia Times reported.
We tested the compound against a four-hour, eight- hour, and 24-hour exposure period and found no surviving SARS virus upon 24 hours of exposure to the polymer," said Zhang Panhe, professor at the Chinese Academy of Military Medical Sciences.
The product was being marketed and sold to business all across China, and the manufacturers said they were confident they could also design a similar solution that would be effective against the bird flu.
Furthermore, in this country the EPA approved a disinfectant and sanitizer called PURE, or SDC3A, manufactured by Pure Bioscience,that utilizes silver technology, and is certified as effective against “a broad range of germs,” including “HIV” and “human coronavirus.” Again, this is a silver-based disinfectant - “powered by the patented Silver Dihydrogen Citrate (SDC),” that has been approved by the government regulatory agency the EPA, that “rapidly eliminates bacteria, viruses and fungi,” including the human coronavirus, in as little as 30 seconds!
So for another government agency to unilaterally declare silver to have no legitimate medical benefits and to label the claims that “silver kills coronaviruses” to be a false and dubious claim is quite nonsensical, and flies in the face of a large body of scientific and medical research proving otherwise.
Ionic silver hasn’t just been proven effective at killing the SARS virus (one form of human coronavirus), but research has also demonstrated its efficacy at preventing the spread of HIV. This is particularly relevant to its potential use as an effective Covid-19 preventative, as one study of this novel coronavirus actually showed that it contains inserts which appear to more closely resemble the HIV virus than other human coronaviruses such as SARS, and that it even responds to treatment by HIV medications! If this is indeed the case, then a proven effective HIV preventative might just turn out to also be an effective preventative against this novel coronavirus.
It turns out that ionic silver containing a specific size of silver nanoparticles, actually does function as a successful HIV preventative. As a 2005 study published in the Journal of NanoBioTechnology demonstrated, by binding to the host cells, silver nanoparticles can effectively prevent the spread of HIV.
In this work, we demonstrate that silver nanoparticles undergo a size-dependent interaction with HIV-1, with nanoparticles exclusively in the range of 1–10 nm attached to the virus.

Due to this interaction, silver nanoparticles inhibit the virus from binding to host cells, as demonstrated in vitro.
The ionic silver nanoparticles in the specific size range can serve as an effective HIV preventative.
“Because of this,” the Science Daily explains, “in 2014, researchers were able to create a cream that successfully controls the transmission of the virus, preventing its spread at the source.”
After discovering that silver nanoparticles are capable of blocking the entry of Human Immunodeficiency Virus (HIV) into the organism, a group of researchers from the University of Texas, in collaboration with Humberto Lara Villegas, specialist in nanoparticles and virology from the University of Monterrey, Mexico (UDEM), create a vaginal cream to control the transmission of the virus.
A 2008 study also discovered that “Silver nanoparticles inhibit hepatitis B virus replication.”
The researchers summarized their findings, writing that:
We hypothesize that the direct interaction between these [silver] nanoparticles and HBV double-stranded DNA or viral particles is responsible for their antiviral mechanism.
These are not the only studies demonstrating silver’s antiviral properties, but should be enough to highlight silver as a likely candidate for a successful Covid-19 preventative and possibly even cure. At the very least, the FDA should be exploring research into the effect of silver ions on this particular novel coronavirus, rather than discounting it as a medical fraud without further research. Instead, the campaign to suppress the truth about silver will likely continue, along with mass funding of vaccine development, without any research into silver’s potential as a useful and effective preventative and possibly even cure against this outbreak. While discounting silver as useless and dangerous, the same government with the full support of the corporate media funds and supports the highly profitable but demonstrably dangerous Big Pharma vaccine-industry as a the ‘safe’ solution.
Vaccines will not prevent the spread of this virus, they are months away from getting to the market, and they will likely be under-tested and therefore pose even more dangers to the vaccinated than the common fully tested and yet still dangerous vaccines. Silver on the other hand poses no such threat, and in the worse case scenario does nothing to prevent or cure this virus, which is no worse than the FDA is offering with no known preventative or cure.
It certainly wouldn’t hurt to be taking silver as a preventative, for even if it isn’t effective against this novel coronavirus, it could still help people from catching a myriad of other bugs going around, and by doing so keep your immune system strong, healthy and ready to fight off the spreading novel coronavirus.

However they do go into the details of how they were able to achieve the creation of the silver nanoparticles, in the size range small enough to be effective against viruses such as HIV, as the research has shown, so one might be able to recreate such conditions in their own homemade silver generator (such as by using an aerator in the water for starters), but it would probably take a little work and ingenuity. One would of course need access to a research facility with a lab in order to test their silver and know for certain whether they had achieved colloidal silver with nanoparticles concentrated in the ideal size range.
There are also many silver vendors around, with products widespread online and in health stores. I have not done much research on the differences as I always made my own, but if purchasing silver to use as a coronavirus preventative, make sure it has been tested with nanoparticles meeting the ideal range for effective antiviral capabilities (1-10nm).
The aim of this post was to highlight the documented medical benefits of silver and the likelihood that it could serve as an effective coronavirus preventative, and to expose the government and media lies used to discredit this amazingly diverse natural medicine, rather than point to a specific product to use.
I do hope that some independent researchers out there, if they haven’t already, will begin studying silver in relation to this novel coronavirus, testing the virus’ reaction to silver nanoparticles with the goal of if discovering whether any type of silver solution would prove effective in the fight against the spread of this new virus, either as a preventative and/or cure. Because government-funded researches and Big Pharma certainly won’t be doing so anytime soon, far too fixated on the profits from developing vaccines to spend anytime researching any potential natural solutions to the problem.

The media and government mouthpieces don’t care about information that doesn’t give people a natural method. They only sell medication, and patented ones at that. Can’t make money off silver so it’s vilified.
