Creativity, Transformation and the New Cycles of Life!

Hello, my friends! This is an interesting and exciting week. We'll have a New Moon in Virgo on Thursday, September 17th, while the Great Conjunction of Jupiter, Pluto and Saturn remains in Capricorn and Uranus does its thing in Tauro. Powerful Earth Trian. Have you thought of a seed to plant? A project to begin? This is the time to go out there and start building!

I began reading Frank Herbert's Dune for the first time last week, it's an amazing novel for many reasons and a profoundly important narrative right now. It's been some time since I felt really engaged in a book, and it's just awesome! I also realized that I couldn't have read it before, I lacked the necessary knowledge to truly appreciate it. Two things are key in the story: the focus on Self-Awareness, which all main characters and especially the protagonist train to tremendous levels of sophistication, and the study of Water, both as an element of physical reality and as an abstract concept. I don't think I would've understood the nuanced tapestry of this story if I hadn't worked on my own mindfulness.

Before I began writing this column, I took some time to meditate, to awaken all of the creativity in my cells, muscles and bones. I called for my Water to start flowing freely through my body, for my Svadhisthana to open completely, helping me write these words and also getting ready to irrigate the seeds that I shall plant for the New Cycle.

The authors I selected today are all in that same process of flowing from one place to another, of becoming, trying new things. Let's see what they're telling us!

First we have this excellent post by @cabelindsay, where he details the first session of homeschooling/unschooling with his kids and @wildfamily. It's really beautiful work and I can only imagine what it means for the children and for the family as a whole! I have deep interest in education and these are the kind of experiences that I find most inspiring. Thank you, man! And for your music too!

If you want to know more about alternative forms of education, leave a comment for the author and be sure to check other members of the community invested in this topic!

I began this curation talking about Svadhisthana, the Sacral Chakra, dwelling of our creative potential, our sexuality and transformative energy. Each Chakra is an energy core and encompasses an essential part of our system, there are many things you can do to train these cores, increase their capacity and balance. Check out this handy post by @tarot911 about the topic!

Have any interesting tips on the subject of healing and opening the Chakras? Share the knowledge!

Chakra Alignment, Opening and Sealing

Transformation, changing from one state to another, shifting from place to place; that's how the Universe works. Sometimes this change is tough, unpleasant, harsh. We're confronted with illness, fear and pain until we can shed our skin, let go and experience the flip side of the coin: gratitude for a new day. This is what @fmbs25 brings us in this post.

We've all been going through some complex times, but we can find great comfort in the community! Support the author with a comment and perhaps even open up about your own tough journey these past few months.

Never Stop Being Grateful for One More Day of Life

Sometimes the change is abrupt, or so obvious that it brings even a physical relocation. @mamrita has been sharing her process with us for some time and her imminent return to her homeland has been a growing reality that's now just around the corner. All the best energy for her in this literal new life that she's starting!

Send her some love with a comment! If you're also moving from place to place right now, tells us about the experience!

Closing One Chapter and Starting Another - Goodbye Berlin!

Sometimes the change is more subdued, harder to pinpoint but no less profound. When we're leading a peaceful life, we can move through the details, and we find that change is actually in the smallest things. Big transformations are indeed a collection of smaller transformations that we can activate deliberately. Just like @juanvegetarian says here, we don't need to invest huge amounts of effort or experience colossal changes, we can ride change consciously in the little things, and meditation is a great tool for that!

What changes do you think you could do for the least investment of energy? Care to give Juan some more ideas?

Starting a Revolution from my Bed

With the right mindset, change can always be magical, even if it comes at a great price. It can be expressed in so many ways: in conversations with loved ones or strangers; the emergence of memories and feelings during meditation; even in the images of dreams. Here we have another of @vincentnijman's Hypersensitivosaurus stories, telling us about the Firebird gliding through the sky in a reverie, a vision of empowerment and becoming!

What about you? Have you experienced revelations during musings and dreams of late? Tell Vincent and the community about them!

Rise of the Phoenix

And talking about musings, here's @denmarkguy with a beautiful entry about creativity, how it comes and goes, ebbs and rises, despite our plans. I didn't know he painted stones, visit @alchemystones, it's gorgeous work! Of course, this post is also filled with lovely pictures taken by him.

It'd be nice to know more about how members of the community manage creativity. Got any advice? Any questions? Let us know!

I conclude this curation with a tangible, literal example of transformation. Here's a really nice origami crane by @qwerrie, with an interesting background story. He explains the process step by step, so we can all do our own.

How about we all swarm his post with pictures of our own paper cranes?

Thank you for your engagement on this post, you have recieved ENGAGE tokens.

It's an absolutely amazing novel, yes!

How about we all swarm his post with pictures of our own paper cranes?

I already feel scared :))) that would be splendid.

I'm sure if more people become involved in this kind of art, the better the world will become - calmer, more peaceful, more beautiful. maybe there will be even a little less entropy in it after.. and more creativity in the head, thats for sure. Thank you!

Wouldn't it be lovely? I'd try - but I'd give myself a paper cut he he he he xxx

Another beautifully executed curation post @drrune.

Funny, I have been working with Srey-Yuu on origami projects. She's taken a liking to it, and I can see she gets in a bit of a meditation while she's doing it.

We haven't yet taken on a crane yet, but have done ninja stars and jumping frogs. Perhaps we'll take on @qwerrie's crane soon.

Origami is such a wonderful form of art! @qwerrie's post is quite the inspiration!

great. wish you well (and your kids, ofc!!)

Excellent, of those publications the one that caught my attention the most was the one about the Chakras, I had no knowledge about those topics and thanks to @tarot911 I began to understand more about the subject. The article by @mamrita was very inspiring, full of nostalgia and memories, the desire to get ahead despite the obstacles, it really filled me up reading it.

Studying the chakras yields great understanding on how our energy works, it's an important topic for sure.

Thank you so much for the reward, much appreciated!
And thanks for sharing all these lovely contents... I read @mamritas relocation the other day, it is a truly nice story to be going back to her roots and improve that little red house. I haven´t really read a book since last year because of our relocation to a new home in other district of the city. I have been wanting to start an old classic from Daphne de Maurier called My Cousin Rachel... let´s see how far I can go with the novel. Cheers to the Natural Medicine Community!

My pleasure! I decided to start reading Dune almost on impulse, as soon as I watched the trailer I felt the story had something important to tell me, and indeed, I haven't stopped getting all sorts of great revelations from it. Enjoy your reading choice!

Best of luck in finishing the novel... thanks!

Have you ever read Daphne du Maurier's short story 'Don't Look Now'. The 1973 movie adaptation with the same name is one of my very favorite films.

Nope, I haven´t read that one yet. It is on my list including the novel "Rebecca".. I have read her other short stories
such as the Birds including that of the Swan family....beautiful story that I liked a lot. Thanks.

The Birds is a classic too, of course, as is the movie adaptation by Hithcock. I don't remember having the novel though ( or was it a short story? ). I have read Rebecca and seen the movie - an early Hitchcock classic.

The Birds had been written as a short story. I read it in a compilation of short stories she wrote and what I have is a pocketbook of different stories, I think 4 or 5 and the main feature was The Birds.

Excellent post! The sign we are going through is that of evolution, death and life. I have been trying to read about kalasarpa yoga. Beautiful mentions!

Thank you, dear! Indeed, we're in the wheel of change!

Stunning curation, @drrune. Flow is my theme for the week too! It's a hard one. But, always planting seeds!

Thank you always! That's the whole deal, flowing, planting seeds, harvesting, flowing again, hahaha.

Thanks for the mention, I have arrived safely in Sweden. Spending some time at my mom’s 🙂

It's awesome to know that! Congratulations for the shift! Blessings of Abundance, Peace and Light!

Self-awareness and water has been a theme in my recent posts - in fact, water is the theme of my last monomad challenge post! So, it's right on point. Serendipity never disappoints. :)

Es todo un honor que me incluyan en esta publicación, curación que considero se hace con esmero y dedicación. Felicito al resto de los compañeros quienes tienen excelentes post. Muchas bendiciones para todos.

It is an honor to be included in this publication, a cure that I consider is done with care and dedication. I congratulate the rest of the colleagues who have excellent posts. Many blessings to all.

Blessings to you as well!

Wow! What a lovely stream of mindfulness and creativity. Love the flow and overall energy of this and I truly appreciate the mention and kind words.

Un abrazo @drrune

P.S. Perhaps I should give the Dune series another read myself. Like you, I wasn't into mindfulness and meditation when I first read the books 5 to 10 years ago, I'm curious how the current me would experience this 'world'.

I just finished the first novel and it was amazing! It's full of knowledge that can only make sense with the information gathered from mindful practices.

Thanks again, as always, amigo mío ¡Un fuerte abrazo!

For a moment I thought you meant you finished "writing" your own novel ( as I read this comment separately ) but I get it now. Wish I could read the Dune books now but, then again, I've got plenty of other intriguing books to read.

Up next is "Wolf Milk: Chthonic Memory in the Deep Wild", while I'm also reading "FERAL: Searching for Enchantment on the frontiers of Rewilding" ( I usually ready several books at once" ).

Enjoy the ride/ read ;<)

What a wonderful post full of information and hopeful examples. As I am slowly discovering Hive I am grateful for the level of self-awareness and kindness in online interaction. I have noticed how my very first learning on this platform was actually to unlearn what I had gathered from other centralized platforms.

I also resonate very much with picking up a book at a certain time in life and how it might speak to us very differently. I like to now think of it in this way: the author most probably spent years to gather the content, words, flow for their creation; why do I expect to 'understand' the book on the first read. And I also have an explanation for myself: having studied in various countries within a traditional framework, I noticed that a common thread is the expectation that once one reads the book, one has now all the answers and solutions.

Excited to dive deeper in the contents of the accounts mentioned.

Hive has enormous potential, yes! Precisely because people can say what's really in their minds and hearts. I'm sure there's a level of drama here, as it is everywhere else, but it's rather subdued, at least in this community. So much to learn!
