This is a quick update and call to action from our Natural Medicine community regarding the recent situation with the centralization of our chain. Natural Medicine has officially joined the movement to vote out the new Tron witnesses. After deliberation, our elders have come to the conclusion that, while we've been historically patient and slow to act in chain crises, this is something we need to join on. As such, we have updated our witness votes to utilize all 30 votes for the first time in our history. This was an easy choice for us when we remembered that we didn't use our entire voting potential and wouldn't have to compromise our support for our beloved chosen witnesses.
Our call to the community here is to join us. Set @naturalmedicine as your proxy and join this movement.
To set @naturalmedicine as your proxy you will need to go to https://steemitwallet.com/~witnesses, scroll to the bottom of the page, and type in @naturalmedicine in the proxy box, as such:
We've done a lot of tagging '@everybody' in the discord the last couple days, and if I could do it now in this post, I would. We are both standing in solidarity with this effort and supporting our legacy witnesses that have been supported by us all along. Once equilibrium is reached and stable, we will reconsider these choices accordingly. Furthermore, if our NM community disagrees with this decision, we will quickly reevaluate. We deeply need input from our community, and if you feel misrepresented by our decision, we need to know.
We think this is an amazing, proving time for us as a blockchain and a community based movement.
While there are many questions to be answered after this attack is dealt with, right now the pressing order is to get the real witnesses back.
While we are temporarily supporting this movement, we do want the witnesses to be informed that this can all be undone if you fail us at any point. It took us a minute to vote you in, and we can vote you out just as fast if you decide to misrepresent us on chain. The status quo of a few weeks ago still leaves a lot to be desired and we want you all to know that we consider it an issue that this current situation has ever been a possibility in the first. We look forward to hearing options after we the people have come together to give you a chance fix this.

@riverflows is on vacation right now, you can see her latest post on her personal blog where she goes into that a bit with her stance with the crisis. Currently myself and @nateonsteemit are organizing things behind the scenes until she rejoins us. :)
Setting proxy will allow make it so that your votes are set for the same that we have set for our witness votes.

@movingman. What i am currently doing is voting for all the witnesses who are close to getting in to the top 20. ie. all the ones who are below the criminals running version 22.5. I think tactically this is the best way to vote to get the chain back to decentralised. I will take advice on this though, and perhaps give proxy to NM if this might work better. See screenshot below showing my votes for the ones closest to getting in top 20 (the ticks continue down but i couldnt get them all on screen)

Good explanation, @atma.love. That is exactly what we are doing with the NM account. That is also what we meant by re-evaluating the votes after we've had the chain returned to the community control. Setting proxy is more for those who don't want to do it themselves for whatever variety of reasons, and so we can vote for them. I think its the best idea to be personally involved with the voting yourself so you can understand more of the process and what is potentially happening.
