If you've been around Hive and it's evil paternal twin, you know @riverflows. If you haven't, she's not only the passion behind the Natural Medicine Community, but a huge reason the Blockchain has retained a large number of users.
Just about everyone who meets her cannot help but to be drawn to her generosity, humble yet grounded nature and love for all life equally. If anyone misses this fact, they aren't around to create connections.
She was born to lead by example and has embraced this calling with grace. Her number one motivation in life is connection and not just with her fellow human, but with the All and everything within it.
@riverflows is a remarkable human being that anyone striving to be a better person, would achieve that goal by emulating just a fraction of the compassion she possesses. She cares about what everyone has to say and makes decisions based on all sides, not just her own. This is the essence of what Bruce Lee is talking about when he says we need to,
"be like water my friend".
That's what Hive's Natural Medicine Community is; it's an extension of her love and compassion to help the Earth and its inhabitants heal. Not just hers though, it's everybody's. Everyone has the ability to help the Community evolve forward, they simply need to care enough to step up.
The highest state of being is only possible with the health of all its units. The Earth and all its inhabitants cannot thrive if any of the parts are sick. The natural cycle helps to keep the balance, but greed, ego and convenience is beginning to overwhelm it.
While she recognizes that these character flaws are the main culprit, she knows we have the ability to be the light at the end of the tunnel as well, collectively. She sees the potential in each and every one of us and set up Natural Medicine to nurture this potential.
Natural Medicine is not a niche community, though at first glance it may appear that way. So many topics are hit upon through the Community and the front-end. In one place we can find anything from children's books, healthy recipes, yoga instruction, poetry, music, guided meditation, plant and mushroom identification and even taroh card readings. The one thing they all have in common is health. Whether it's mental, physical or spiritual Natural Medicine has it covered.
@riverflows, you built this wonderful community through long hours, dedication, creating and promoting great content, generosity, selflessness and love. We all appreciate you for simply being you, who's a great example of what humanity can be.
I'm honored to be a part of this oasis you've build. I have yet to see a Community more organic than Natural Medicine. You have set a precedent worthy of emulating and hope more do going forward.
I know your epic journey and grand plans have been turned on their heads at the most inopportune time, but you possess all the tools needed to make the best of it. I envy your daily frolics into the English countryside. While there are many trails in my area, most of them are well groomed and hardly lined with the native varieties.
The beauty you have shown us is not how I imagined the English Terrain. Thank you for bringing us along on your adventures, because they capture what one cannot perceive through the mostly dry and unconnected found elsewhere throughout the internet.
The thought never even crossed my mind to forage young tree leaves. The young shoots are just popping here, so I'm going to give them a try. I can't wait to see what else you introduce me too. This is why I chose to use images of the edible and medicinal plantsand fungi I'll be introducing to Hive in the near future.

The fluidity of water brings such imagery and does seem like a wonderful way to be, to be able to bend and form to it's container or flow freely once put in motion!
