Ayurvedic properties and uses of the fig-like fruit of Gular

Many times we find such plants, fruits etc,which are good for our health. Eating the fruits of these plants can get rid of many diseases or it helps in curing many diseases.
Today I have found a tree which looks exactly like a fig.The fruit of this tree can be used to treat many diseases. Since ancient times, its fruit has been used for the treatment of many diseases.

Name of the plant

The fruit of this tree is commonly known as Sycamore Fig, but in India it is known as Gular.

What does it look like

Gular tree is very large in size. Its fruits look like fig fruit. It is green in color when it is raw. But when it is ripe, it is yellow or dark brown in color. Its leaves are light green in color, which feel quite soft to touch.

Uses

According to Ayurveda, it is believed that the bark and raw fruits of gular tree are useful in the problem of stopping bleeding, urinary diseases, diabetes and body burns. The bark and leaves of sycamore are used to relieve the problem of inflammation and pain. It also helps in healing old wounds.

If 3 to 4 drops of sycamore milk mixed with buttermilk and taken thrice a day, it can help to overcome the problem of diarrhea.

The fruit of sycamore provides relief from the praoblem of stomach pain as well as gas problem.

But still, despite all these benefits, you should use sycamore only with the advice of a doctor.
