Hola, bella comunidad de Hivebloguers💗. Hoy prepararemos unas ricas y deliciosas mandocas; para los que no las conocen, es un plato típico del estado Zulia, Venezuela. Es una receta con la que muchos venezolanos suelen recordar los días más felices de su infancia. Su principal ingrediente es el plátano. Cómo ya sabemos, el plátano es una excelente fuente de energía y ayuda a regular la hipertensión, entre otras cosas.

Hello, beautiful community of Hivebloguersđź’—. Today we will prepare some rich and delicious mandocas; for those who don't know them, it is a typical dish from the state of Zulia, Venezuela. It is a recipe with which many Venezuelans usually remember the happiest days of their childhood. Its main ingredient is the plantain. •2 plátanos maduros
•Un trozo de queso blanco
•Una taza pequeña de azúcar
•1 taza de harina de maíz
•Clavos de olor (opcional)
•Anís estrellado (opcional)
•Papelón (opcional)

•1 small cup of sugar
•1 cup corn flour

Comenzamos colocando los plátanos en un bowl para luego triturar los hasta obtener un puré, agregamos el queso rayado, la harina y el azúcar. Amasamos hasta que la masa pueda tomarse con las manos.

Para formar las mandocas, tomamos una bolita de la masa y la hacemos rodar en un superficie plana para hacer unas varas no muy delgadas. Unimos los extremos para que quede en forma de pétalos (mientras más delgadas, más crujientes quedarán).

To form the mandocas, take a small ball of dough and roll it on a flat surface to make not too thin sticks. Join the ends to form petals (the thinner they are, the crispier they will be).

Luego, en una cacerola con suficiente aceite las colocamos hasta que queden cubiertas y cuando estén doradas, las sacamos de ésta.
