No dejamos de aprender mientras vamos caminando por el camino de la vida porque nuestra atención se fija en muchos detalles hermosos que queremos reproducir y en este caso quiero mostrar como quedaron estas flores de masa. Con varios tipos de masa quedan bien, con la de tequeños, con la masa quebrada salen más o menos o con la masa del matzo o pan de pascua.
Esta masa la preparé para una lasaña pero me sobró un pedacito y llegó a mi recuerdo esta flor que vi en un video por Facebook, no recuerdo donde y quiero que conste que “no soy autora intelectual de esta idea”, solo la reproduzco y muestro mi resultado para que veamos que sí podemos lograr grandes cosas como un solo trozo de masa.
We do not stop learning while we are walking along the path of life because our attention is fixed on many beautiful details that we want to reproduce and in this case I want to show how these flowers were. With various types of dough they go well, with the tequeños, with the broken dough they come out more or less or with the matzo dough or Easter bread.
I prepared this dough for a lasagna but I had a bit left over and I remembered this flower that I saw in a video on Facebook, I don't remember where and I want it to be on the record that "I am not the intellectual author of this idea" , I just reproduce it and show my result so that we can see that we can achieve great things whit a single piece of dough.
PREPARACIÓN

Lo primero que hice fue cortar, quizá muy burdamente por la dureza de la masa, pero conseguí varios círculos como los que ves aquí. Para cada flor necesitas dos y debemos cortarlos en cuatro trozos iguales, todo lo más parejo posible, no como yo.
The first thing I did was cut, perhaps very roughly because of the hardness of the dough, but I got several circles like the ones you see here. For each flower you need two and we must cut them into four equal pieces, as even as possible, not like me.
Hay que ordenarlos de esta forma precisa en que se muestra en la imagen, para luego marcar con un palillo o con el lomo del cuchillo, solo marcar lo suficiente para que se peguen una contra la otra.
You have to order them in this precise way that is shown in the image, and then mark with a toothpick or with the back of the knife, just mark enough so that they stick one against the other.
Con los pétalos ya “pegados” solo queda enrollar procurando que queden bien firmes.
With the petals already "glued" the only thing left to do is roll up, making sure they are very firm.
Ahora hay que cortar por la misma línea que se marcó para fijar los pétalos, el corte debe ser con un cuchillo afilado y con el mismo corte se terminarían de unir los pétalos que quizá no hayan quedado bien pegados.
Now you have to cut along the same line that was marked to fix the petals, the cut must be with a sharp knife and with the same cut you would finish joining the petals that may not have been well glued.
Las florecitas están hermosas aunque quizá con una masa más adecuada queden más precisas.
Por otro lado decidí hacer unos sencillos pétalos con los triángulos que me sobraron y que dieron un toque extra al buqué.
"Finalmente se pueden poner en una bandeja directa al horno por unos 10 o 15 minutos si haces flores en gran cantidad, pero par aun trabajo en pequeña escala recomiendo hacerlas al sartén o paila bien tapadas y a fuego lento."
The flowers are beautiful although perhaps with a more suitable mass they are more precise.
On the other hand, I decided to make some simple petals with the triangles that I had left over and that gave an extra touch to the bouquet.
"Finally they can be put on a tray directly in the oven for about 10 or 15 minutes if you make flowers in large quantities, but for even small-scale work I recommend making them in a pan, well covered and over low heat."
