The Art of Plating # 11: Vegan Creamy Potatoes With Green Veggies [Step by Step Plating Tutorial]

There are two types of kitchen dishes and luckily they can mix-matched on one plate.

Creamy Potatoes and Green Veggies with the addition of peanuts can be foods that look simple but are also filling. Usually, I serve and enjoy this menu for dinner and sometimes brunch.

So this time I will share how I arrange two types of dishes on one plate.

I hope you like my food presentation this time.


- Step 1

Arrange the stir-fried green veggies on the serving plate. Here I'm forming a vegetable centered on the plate, but elongated. An elongated shape for later laying the slices of potatoes. So this looks like a nice colored, contrasting base with potatoes.




- Step 2

Begin to arrange the slices of potatoes one by one. I'm aiming the slices of potatoes at a slight angle so that it doesn't look monotonous.

Make sure this step doesn't include the creamy sauces that are in the potatoes dish. Clean the plate if any of the sauce is included. This is to form the slices of potatoes to make them tidier on top of the green veggies.




- Step 3

Add peanuts. I carefully lay out the peanuts in a consistent shape.




- Step 4

As a final step, add the creamy sauce. Be careful not to pour in the sauce too much. Don't let the sauce fill the plate or make the green veggies invisible.

Don't forget to correct the cleanliness of the dishes before serving. :)

It's looks even more delicious with your plating decoration.

I did it by trial and error. I often see food art on Instagram. I don't have any special plating tools yet so the results aren't as good as other people's. I just tried my best.

Your plating looks fantastic.

I really like the way you cooked the potatoes in the sauce and this way it keeps all the nutrients from the potatoes. I try not to boil potatoes in plain water and will have to try this.

I never boil potatoes if I want to make a dish. Maybe just for variation of snacks such as fritter.

Yeah you have to try this way with plant-based milk or plain milk in general,

hmm, saya gk kenyang makan sgtu anggrek.

But, kerenlah bentuk makanannya, smoga sesuai dengan rasanya hihihi

Kenyang sih sebenernya karena itu kentang dan kuahnya kental gitu jadi cepet eneg hehehe
