Hello Hivers,
today I would like to share the dish I cooked for dinner today: Baked pasta with ragù.

The ingredients are:

  • an onion;
  • a few tablespoons of extra virgin olive oil;
  • minced beef;
  • three eggs;
  • a tablespoon of wine vinegar;
  • 500 gr of pasta (better if you use Tortiglioni;
  • two mozzarellas;
  • Grana Padano cheese to taste;
  • two sottilette;
  • tomato puree.

So, let's start by cutting the onion into thin slices.

Then pour some oil into a pot and start cooking the onions.

In the meanwhile take three eggs and boil them. In order to have a perfect boiled egg, you need to put them into a pot, cover it completely with water, and heat it until the water starts to boil. From that moment you need to count 9 minutes (or also less if you want them rawer).

When the onions are starting to brown, insert also the minced beef.

Then add the wine vinegar to nuance the meat.

Then leave everything on the fire until all the vinegar has evaported.

Add the tomato puree.

And let it cook until it starts to have a good consistency.

In the meanwhile start preparing the pasta. Take the water to the boiling point and then pour the pasta and wait up until it is al dente.

When the pasta is ready, take a baking tray and make a first layer of pasta on it.

Pour the ragù on it.

Add the eggs, the mozzarella, and the Grana Padano. Continue with the same process till the tray is full.

Lastly add the sottilete at the top and a little bit of oil.

Put in the oven for 40 min at 200°C and then admire your creation.

This is a really tasty dish, which takes some time to prepare since there are quite a few ingredients that require the proper preparation. But it is worth the effort, I can assure you.
It is not something you can prepare every day, but on Sundays when we have a little bit more free time, it is a good idea.

I hope you enjoyed this recipe and feel free to try it or to suggest to me some modifications if you think there are better ways to prepare it, I am always open to advice.
