Hamburger + Chicken Wings + Beer: the perfect dinner

Today I would like to share with you the dinner I just "cooked". I have to admit that using the term cooking this time is not properly correct since more than cooking I assembled the different ingredients.

I really like hamburgers and I really enjoy going to new places to trydifferent versions. Some times I also enjoy preparing them on my own, but of course I buy the meat already prepared and compacted since I don't have neither the tools neither the time to prepare it.

So let's start with a list of the things I bought:

  • 200 grams of Scottona Hamburger. Scottona is a female bovine animal aged between 18 and 24 months (sometimes up to 3 years) that has never calved.

  • Golden Chicken wings.

  • Different types of sauces, mayonnaise, ketchup and cheddar.

  • Hamburger Bread (the large one in order to contain the 200 gr of meat);

  • A bottle of blonde beer, the Belgian Leffe (one my favorites);

  • "Sottilette", which I don't know the traduction in English, but basically are some slices of cheese that you melt.

  • A little bit of salad and tomatoes (to feel less guilty 😅).

Now that all the ingredients are ready we can start to assemble them.
First of all we need to prepare the burger. It requires cooking for 2 min on high heat per side and then a further 10 min on medium heat.

I also added some meat seasoning (basicaly a little bit of salt and a mix of erbs.

In the meanwhile I also started heating the chicken wings in the oven for a total time of 12 min.

Then I sliced the bread, and started filling it with the vegetables.

In order for the sottilette to melt, I placed them on the meat during the last minutes of heating.

Then I placed the burger on top of the vegetables and applied the different sauces on the other side.

And now it is finally time to connect the two sides.

In the meanwhile also the chicken wings were ready.
And so it was time to place everything on the plate.

I am quite satisfied by how it turned out and, and considering the amount of time that it took me to prepare everything (which was something around 40 min) it was a really good compromise.

Since I wasn't completely satisfied, I also remebered that I had some ice cream in the fridge 😅, so why not try it??
It was quite a heavy dinner i must admit, but also really tasty and it was worth it. The day after I went for a run in the morning to digest everything, so I feel a little bit less guilty.
