No creo que exista un hogar venezolano donde no se coma y no se prepare este plato tan sencillo y familiar, pero por si alguna razón hay alguien que no sabe preparar este delicioso platillo, aquí les muestro cómo lo preparamos nosotros en mi casa, solemos comerlo mucho.

I don't think there is a Venezuelan home where this simple and familiar dish is not eaten and prepared, but in case there is someone who does not know how to prepare this delicious dish. Here I show you how we prepare it at home, we usually eat it a lot.

Cantidades para 5 personas.

5 piezas de pollo (muslo, contramuslo, pechuga, etc.)5 pieces of chicken (thigh, breast, etc.)

1 zanahoria1 carriot
1 cebolla1 onion

1-. Lavar muy bien las piezas de pollo.

2-. Picar la cebolla, cebollín, ajo, ají en trozos pequeños y sofreírlos con suficiente aceite.

2-. Chop the onion, chives, garlic, chili into small pieces and fry them with enough oil

3-. Picar 2 tomates en cuartos y agregarlos al sofrito de aliños.

3-. Chop 2 tomatoes into quarters and add them to the dressing sauce.

4-. Agregar un poquito de agua y cocinar muy bien por unos 10 minutos.

4-. Add a little water and cook very well for about 10 minutes.

5-. Retirar los tomates y licuarlos con la licuadora y volver a incorporar a la olla.

5-. Remove the tomatoes and blend them with the blender and return to the pot.

6-. Agregar el pollo a la olla y remover un poco para que se selle. Condimentar al gusto.

6-. Add the chicken to the pot and stir a little to seal it. Season to taste.

7-. Filetear las papas y la zanahoria, agregarlas al pollo y remover.

8-. Verter el tomate licuado y un poquito de agua. Tapar y cocinar a fuego bajo por 20 minutos. Remover continuamente.

8-. Pour in the blended tomato and a little water. Cover and cook over low heat for 20 minutes. Stir continuously.

9-. Cuando las papas y las zanahoria estén blandas y la salsa haya reducido y el pollo esté cocinado,está listo.

9-. When the potatoes and carrots are soft and the sauce has reduced and the chicken is cooked, you're done.

Se puede acompañar con un rico arroz blanco y ensalada, pero hay quienes lo prefieren con pasta. De ambas formas es riquísimo.

It can be served with a rich white rice and salad, but there are those who prefer it with pasta. Either way it's delicious.
