Feliz noche amigos hoy quise unirme al tercer concurso organizado por @sirenahippie y es preparar una bebida típica del lugar donde vivimos y por eso yo decidí preparar un papelón con limón. Nada más típico y refrescante que esta bebida, aquí en la isla de margarita es típico comerse unas empanadas y acompañarlas con un papelón con limón.
Happy night friends today I wanted to join the third contest organized by @sirenahippie and it is to prepare a typical drink of the place where we live and that is why I decided to prepare a piece of papelón with lemon. Nothing more typical and refreshing than this drink, here on the island of Margarita it is typical to eat some empanadas and accompany them with a papelón with lemon.
Para preparar este papelón necesitamos:
- limones (1/2 taza de jugo.)
- medio papelón.
- 1 litro de agua.
- hielo.
To prepare this papelon we need:
- lemons (1/2 cup of juice.)
- half a piece of papelon.
- 1 liter of water.
- ice.
Lo primero que vamos a hacer es colocar el papelón en una olla y colocar medio litro de agua. Esto lo vamos a llevar al fuego para derretir el papelón.
The first thing we are going to do is place the papelón in a pot and place half a liter of water. We are going to take this to the fire to melt the papelón.
Aquí estaba picando el papelón ya que estaba muy grueso y al cortarlo en pedazos era más fácil que se derritiera.
Here I was chopping the papelón since it was very thick and when cutting it into pieces it was easier for it to melt.
Aquí pueden ver qué ya nuestro papelón estaba totalmente derretido.
Here you can see that our papelón was already completely melted.
Con un colador vamos a colar este papelón para sacar los restos de caña u otras impurezas que pueda tener el papelón.
With a strainer we are going to strain this papelon to remove the remains of cane or other impurities that the papelón may have.
Aquí pueden ver las impurezas que tenía nuestro papelón.

Ahora vamos a exprimir los limones para sacar el jugo.
Now we are going to squeeze the lemons to get the juice.
Aquí tenemos el papelón y le agregamos el jugo de limón.
Here we have the papelón and add the lemon juice.
Ahora vamos a agregar más agua y ya nuestro papelón está listo. Es bastante fácil de hacer y muy delicioso.
Now we are going to add more water and our papelón is ready. It is quite easy to make and very delicious.
En los vasos agregamos bastante hielo y servimos el papelón. Este se debe tomar bien frío para refrescarnos.
