Yesterday after church, my friend and I wanted to sit down for a snack before heading home. We ended up in a Peruvian restaurant and enjoyed some seafood with a glass of Pisco.
Besides trying out Peruvian food, I was excited to try a different drink/cocktail and we settles for Pisco, since this place is very popular for it.
To me, it tasted a little bit like Margarita, just a bit more sour with a topping of whipped egg York.
Pisco is a colorless or yellowish-to-amber colored brandy produced in winemaking regions of Peru and Chile. Made by distilling fermented grape juice into a high-proof spirit, it was developed by 16th-century Spanish settlers as an alternative to orujo, a pomace brandy that was being imported from Spain.
Seafood..
For €13,this plate was quite small. It was Mixed Seafood Ceviche, consisted of shrimps, 2 sweet potato wedges, some scallops, salmon, roasted maize, onion, octopus etc
It was delicious, but not worth the price if you ask me.
Ceviche, also cebiche, seviche, or sebiche is a South American seafood dish that originated in Peru, typically made from fresh raw fish cured in fresh citrus juices, most commonly lemon or lime, and spiced with ají, chili peppers or other seasonings, including chopped onions, salt, and coriander.
