Hive Creative Contest | The Egg-citing Dish (Contest Details)

This week the slogan was to make a recipe where the egg is present. There are countless recipes to make, and the ones I had in mind are previously published on my blog, so I was in trouble to bring you an original recipe. But finally on Saturday night I was beating eggs to make an omelette and the light went on! I've never shared my stuffed omelette recipe, so here it is

Esta semana la consigna era realizar una receta donde el huevo esté presente. Hay infinidad de recetas para hacer, y las que tenia en mente ya estan previamente publicadas en mi blog, asi que estuve en problemas para traerles una receta original. Pero finalmente la noche del sabado estaba batiendo huevos para hacer un omelette y se me prendió la lamparita! nunca les habia compartido mi receta de omelette relleno, asi que aquí está

We will start with the basics and with the protagonist of the recipe, the egg. Let's whisk it with a little salt and seasonings.

Comenzaremos con lo basico y con el protagonista de la receta, el huevo. Vamos a batirlo con un poco de sal y condimentos.

Then we are going to wash and cut some mushrooms into fairly thick slices

Luego vamos a lavar y cortar unos champiñones en rodajas bastante gruesas

In a pan we are going to heat a little butter and right there with a pinch of salt we are going to sauté the mushrooms

En una sarten vamos a calentar un poco de manteca y ahí mismo con una pizca de sal vamos saltear los champiñones

When the mushrooms are ready we are going to prepare a plate with all our ingredients to have them ready. I prepared ham, tomato, cheese and the mushrooms.

Cuando los champis ya esten listo vamos a preparar un plato con todos nuestros ingredientes para tenerlos listos, Yo preparé jamon, tomate, queso y los champiñones.

In the same pan we are going to reheat a little butter and we are going to dump the egg there, when a small layer forms at the bottom we are going to accommodate the ham

En la misma sarten vamos a volver a calentar un poco de manteca y vamos a volcar el huevo allí, cuando se forme una pequeña capa en la parte inferior vamos a acomodar el jamon

After a few minutes we are going to place only the rest of the ingredients on one side.

Pasados unos minutos vamos a colocar solo de un lado el resto de los ingredientes.

When you see that the lower part is already cooked and firm with a spatula and very carefully we are going to close our omelette by squeezing with the spatula so that the raw egg inside comes out from the sides and melts with the base.

Cuando veas que la parte de abajo ya está cocida y firme con una espátula y con mucho cuidado vamos a cerrar nuestra tortilla apretando con la espátula para que el huevo crudo del interior salga por los lados y se derrita con la base.

After a few minutes our omelette will be ready, I recommend turning off the heat and letting it rest so that the interior continues to coagulate and the cheese does not spread all over the plate.

Pasados unos minutos nuestro omelette ya estará listo, recomiendo apagar al fuego y dejarlo reposar para que el interior se siga coagulando y no se desparrame el queso por todo el plato.

And this is the final result! a firm omelette, and with a consistent filling. I accompanied it with a Neapolitan Milanese but it is super satisfying so it can easily be the main dish.

Y éste es el resultado final! un omelette firme, y con un relleno consistente. Yo lo acompañe con una milanesa napolitana pero es super saciador asi que tranquilamente puede ser el plato principal.
