I had leftover peanut butter spread and the expiry date was near, plus I just bought new peanut butter spread to help a peanut butter company from closing down... So this called for...
Peanut Butter Cookie🍪
I do not bake often and I am definitely not a baker. I simply typed and searched 'peanut butter cookies' and found this super easy peasy recipe which only needed 3 ingredients: peanut butter, egg and sugar, all could be found in the kitchen.
Mandatory selfie of the product and the eater😂. I was watching my calorie and sugar intake so I did not take any, okay, except one bite.
Let's start
I did this at 10pm when my son said he was hungry and I wanted to quickly used up the leftover peanut butter. Get ready the ingredients —
- 1 cup peanut butter
- 1 egg
- 1 cup sugar of any form (I used powdered sugar)
and I added the 4th one due to 'extra passion' in trying, added in just one teaspoon of chocolate drizzles. Then, I noticed 1 cup of sugar was a lot of sugar, so I edited the recipe a little to 3/4 cup of sugar.
In the mixing bowl, mixed them until all combined well.
Shaped them into balls of your desired size and line them up. From the shape of the balls, you could tell I was in a hurry, didn't like the idea of my children sleeping late.
Use fork to press down to flatten them as well as to give them some designs.
Put them into oven and bake for half an hour.
It was late at night and I was kind of in a hurry, so I used my toaster oven instead, no temperature setting. I figured it would be alright but then....
Burnt Peanut butter cookie
I almost wanted to throw them away and asked the boy to eat bread, but he exclaimed "Nice smell, I want!!!" "Just like the popular burnt basque cheese cake!" Okay then... You could have it.
After I came out from bathroom to wash up and change into pyjamas, he gave me the remainder and said all the burnt one was super nice. So interesting boy.
I gave the remainder to my husband and brother and they commended nice as well. What a burnt cookie night. Glad they loved it.
Once again, mandatory photo to end the blog.
Who would have thought ?! only 3 ingredients and it actually came out nicely if it wasn't burnt.
