Starting this year, local businesses have started opening up including cafes despite "Covid still on the rise" as some media portrays it. Speaking of cafes, there was one that just had its soft opening. I had this café as my first option during that time I and @ybanezkim26 met up a couple of weeks ago. In the end, we went to Balai Brunch first to get our late "brunch" then headed to this newly opened café called Precious Brew Café just across the street. We could have stayed in Balai but they don't have wi-fi and so off to the café we go . . .
Initially, when I saw their social media posts, there weren't many photos that feature their food and drinks. And when I got to see their menu, there were too many to choose from! From salads, and pasta, to main dishes and desserts. Then their drinks were categorized as milk tea, milkshakes, coffee, Frappuccino, etc. So when I got to the part where we had to pick our food, it took me a while! I was kind of full from our food escapade in Balai but I wanted to taste something from this cafe.
So I ended up ordering the Blueberry Cheesecake ($2.28 or Php 119) paired with the Mango Bravo Cake ($1.92 or Php 100). @ybanezkim26 got the Blueberry Cheesecake ($1 or Php 50). Overall, when you look at their menu and corresponding prices, they are just about average and are affordable for most people.
While we were waiting for the food and drinks, it was time to observe the interior design. As shared on their social media account, they were going for the rustic minimalist design which they were able to deliver. The wood element of the furniture and modern take on the lighting help elevate the place. And I like the little nook where you can hang out with your friends on the far side of the café.
Now comes the crucial part of tasting what they had to offer! First up was the Mango Bravo Cake... Unfortunately, I found it to be a bit bland and lacking moisture and smoothness so that was a sad thing for me. I also tasted the blueberry cheesecake, it was lacking some sweetness too. The Blueberry Cheesecake Milkshake would probably taste great for those with a sweet tooth but the sugar overload was a bit much for me. I think there is the right amount of sugar and other flavoring ingredients to create the perfect blend for any specific drink.
Overall, this is still a budding café in our city and perhaps other customers find their food and drinks just to their liking! The exact location of Precious Brew Cafe is at 888 A.S. Fortuna, Mandaue, Cebu City. You can also check their IG for more details.

The caramel-like look and feel of the cafe make me want to order coffee and stay there. I'm bookmarking your post and will be noting down the name of this cafe for the time I'm around A.S. Fortuna.
