HELLO EVERYONE! I WILL SHARE TO YOU THE STEP BY STEP OF MY TEMPURA VERSION OF A SARDINE FISH (TAMBAN)

Sardine is a very delicious fish and filipinos has many versions on how to cook it, but i like mine to be fried always. I decided to try cooking it with a twist by making it like a tempura; the Japanese famous cuisine.

THE INGREDIENTSIMG2020090908210501.jpeg

First buy a fresh sardine in the market, you don't have to worry about the price because it is the most cheapest fish. The sardine cost 30 per kilo, i only bought half of it. I already cut the head because we won't be needing that.

More ingredients to buy are:

  • 2 eggs
  • Magic Sarap
  • Black pepper
  • 3rd class Flour
  • Bread Crumbs

Step1

Cut the sardines body and flatten it like this, pull out the bones and leave the tail ( if you know how to cut a milk fish you'll be fine with this process it's very simple really)

Mix well the flour, seasoning and the black pepper

Ready the bread crumbs and the egg in different bowls

Coat the sardines by dipping it first in a flour, second will be in the egg and last will be the bread crumbs. You can also dip it in a thick coat such as flour, egg, flour, egg and bread crumbs whichever you prefer.

Once the coating is done, fry it

Pull it out when it's golden brown or if you think its already cooked.

TADA!
