Hola a todos como se encuentran hoy? Hoy quiero compartirles una forma muy sencilla para pelar los tomates, muy útil para hacer salsa para pasta o para hacer la base de la salsa de una pizza o incluso de un chili con carne.

Hello everyone, how are you today? Today I want to share with you a very simple way to peel tomatoes, very useful to make pasta sauce or to make the base of a pizza sauce or even a chili con carne.

1- Empezamos haciendo unas x en los tomates / We start by making an x ​​in the tomatoes.

Con un cuchillo vamos hacer unos cortes en forma de x en uno de los extremos del tomate, no los hagas muy profundos, solo queremos que pasen la piel.

With a knife we ​​are going to make x-shaped cuts in one of the ends of the tomato, do not make them too deep, we only want them to go through the skin.

2- Hervimos los tomates / We will boil the tomatoes.

Colocaremos los tomates en un olla con agua hirviendo por unos 4 minutos, moviendolos constantemente para que aflojen por todos lados.

We will place the tomatoes in a pot with boiling water for about 4 minutes, moving them constantly so that they loosen on all sides.

A medida que vaya pasando el tiempo vas a ver qué la piel se va abriendo por los bordes donde abriste la x.

3- Quitales la piel a los tomates / Remove the skin from tomatoes.

Primero que todo, al sacar los tomates del agua debes dejarlos enfriar un poco, para que al pelarlos no los dañes o te quemes, y al mismo tiempo para tomen mejor consistencia.

First of all, when you remove the tomatoes from the water, you should let them cool a bit, so that when you peel them you do not damage them or burn you, and at the same time to take a better consistency.

Después de eso, solo tienes que quitar la piel del tomate muy fácilmente.

After that, you just have to remove the skin from the tomato very easily.

Como puedes ver es muy sencillo y luego solo tienes que quitarle la parte de arriba donde va el tallo del tomate.

As you can see, it is very simple and then you just have to remove the top part where the tomato stem goes.

Una vez que estén listos puedes decidir que hacer con ellos, o incluso los puedes guardar para utilizarlos luego.

Algunas ideas para utilizarlos / Some ideas to use them.

Puedes cocinarlos completos por unos 15 minutos, triturando con un tenedor los tomates para conseguir una salsa gruesa y con grumos.

You can cook them whole for about 15 minutes, mashing the tomatoes with a fork to get a thick, lumpy sauce.

O también puedes licuar los tomates junto con un poquito de albahaca y almacenarla en un frasco de vidrio estéril para que dure más en la nevera.

Or you can also blend the tomatoes together with a little basil and store it in a sterile glass jar to make it last longer in the fridge.
