Our life here in the province is very simple yet full of happiness, like taking an early walk every morning and before sundown with our family. This used to be our daily routine to bond one another. We are ignited in doing so due to the vast green sceneries that are soothing and relaxing. There is serenity and tranquility. There is less air pollution thus the air we breathe is healthier for us. And these are essential to us mentally and physically. We can release all the stress once we are doing this healthy habit.

Well, last Sunday we bonded with my family by taking a walk to a place where we usually go. It was a half-hour trek to the famous Little Batanes in our place. But before going there, I was making sure that nobody will be hungry upon returning home.

So, to suffice their hunger which I’m pretty sure will happen, I cooked the delicious Bam. e (Bisaya recipe) a pancit dish with the perfect combination of sotanghon and special crab canton(noodles) before going to the site. What was more interesting here? I’m cooking for my children, nieces, and nephews who keep on asking my favor to cook this for them with love. They like it to the highest level.

It was at 1:00 in the afternoon when I prepared all the ingredients for my special bam.e.

I washed diligently the ingredients need to be washed and be cleaned.

I sliced the pork, the pork liver, the Chinese sausage, the and the spices.

Marinated the pork, and pork liver. Leave for 15 minutes.

Cooking this menu is an easy one, however, there are a lot of ingredients to be prepared. When I got home, I cooked this special bam.e Now, I’m going to elaborate here on what are these:

  • half a pound of pork
  • half a pound of liver pork
  • 1 piece of Chinese sausages.
  • ½ of rice noodles, or sotanghon
  • ½ special crab canton (noodles)
  • ¼ sliced veggies; carrots and cabbage.
  • 1 medium onion.
  • 5 garlic heads
  • 1 pc bell pepper
  • soy sauce (to marinate the meat)
  • oyster sauce
  • cooking oil

Afterward, the utensils to be used were prepared next. When all were ready, I washed the pork, pork liver, pepper, and veggies thoroughly. Then sliced them faithfully in the same cut. Lastly, I marinated the pork and the pork liver so the taste will penetrate and make it yummier to eat.


How to cook the Special Bam.e

Heat a cooking pot.

Pour a little amount of cooking coil enough to cook the pork.

Sauté garlic and onions

Add the sliced pork, and liver that was marinated for 15 minutes.

Add Chinese sausage cook, and mix occasionally until oil comes out.

Once the oil comes out, add 6 glasses of water. Let the soup boil.

Put the sotanghon, then the crab special canton. Mix them thoroughly.

Add the sliced veggies, the sliced bell pepper, and mix them carefully.

Pour the oyster sauce, taste for satisfaction. Mixed religiously. Top with sliced green onions.

Serve Best when hot.

The children cannot resist their crave for my bam.e. They cannot wait this will be served to them. They excitedly served themselves.

It's a great feeling to have seen our children love eating my special bam.e as their snacks. This made my day more fulfilling. After our healthy walk, happy tummy indeed!

Ngayon lang ako ate nakakita ng ganiyang luto, di kasi ako kumakain ng gulay (most picky eater on Hive). Napukaw talaga ng atensyon ko yung Wednesday sa TV, pinapanood ko rin siya ngayon skl haha. Episode 5 na ako roon
