I first heard of Vicio when @thegoodbi posted about their quick trip to this affordable steakhouse. Since then, I've always wanted to eat here. I've mentioned to my highschool buddies that we'll eat here whenever they're in the city. But yesterday, I've been extremely stressed at work that I decided I'll just go on my own and discover if this place is truly worth it!

In the post of @thegoodbi, Vicio was located in Acacia St. next to Golden Peak Hotel but when I checked Google Maps last night, it's already located in Veloso St. I got confused so I inquired on their Facebook Page. They promptly responded and I found out they already relocated to Veloso St. for good. Booked an Angkas ride going there and thanks to their promo, I only paid Php 19 for the ride. But I felt bad I'll only pay Php19 to the driver because it was a bit of traffic on our way there; I ended up paying Php 30 for the ride (still cheaper and faster!).

When I arrived in Vicio, my first impression was the place looked too simple and unattractive. You'll never think they're serving steaks here. It's more of a carenderia feels, if you know what I mean. Nonetheless, I found a table and chair and ordered. You need to pay as you order and they're charging 10% service fee in case you don't know. I'm wondering why there's a service charge when there's nothing special with their service anyway. Or maybe 10% is too high! I've dined at better restaurants and they're not even charging; maybe I was just shocked and stressed to begin with.

I ordered their T-bone/Porter (steak estimated to weigh 200-250g) with their signature gravy and 1 cup of java rice. By the way, the gravy will be poured into the steak in front of you. You'll get this for only Php 199.00 ($4) not bad. I was a bit disappointed with the taste and the texture of the steak tho. It's nothing extraordinary; the one I cooked at home was more delicious. Maybe I should order the options in the menu first, but based on what I got, it's not worth it.

My word Patricia, I took one look at that steak and was instantly hungry for it, I could almost taste it, then my mouth started watering. It's such a pity that it didn't taste as good as it looks.

I had a sirloin steak a few nights ago and it was so good. If I could eat them every night, I probably would lol.

It's such a pity that it didn't taste as good as it looks.

@emma-h sadly, not all tasty-looking food is great, at times they're just pretty and that's it! haha But can someone warn us? It's a waste of money and emotion hehe

I absolutely agree with you, at least you're warning people! The waste of the emotion is the worst part!
