The bitter cold has made us crave for yummy hot dishes. Today I made some pasta with a veggie sauce and added some sausage cooked in the oven (on baking paper, without any extra oil).
Since Trumpman hates vegetables, I put one red and one green pepper, a carrot, one piece of garlic, one green and one dry onion in my mixer and made a healthy paste. Then I sautéed my veggie paste for a couple of minutes in hot olive oil, added some mustard, salt, pepper, a finely chopped tomato and a few tablespoons of homemade tomato sauce, one big cup of hot water and prepared a healthy sauce.
Once ready, I added the boiled pasta and the cooked sausage, gave them all a very good stir and served with sliced cucumber and feta cheese on the side.
Who wouldn't love a healthy dish full of energy to warm us up on a cold winter day and some unhealthy notes of sausage just to give us some extra flavor?

I used to make this with mushrooms on days I wanted to stay away from meat, but Trumpman hates them 😐
