We have always heard of Palak in combination with paneer. But there’s a unique combination of pakak with lentils which lot of us are unaware of. This is an extremely protein rich dish which can be cooked easily at home.
Ingredients
250gms Palak
1/2 cup chana dal
2 tomatoes
1 onion
4-5 garlic cloves
1 inch long garlic
salt
red chilli powder
coriander powder
garam masala
Method
Step 1: Wash the Palak well and keep aside. In a bowl, soak the chana dal for about 1 hour.
Step 2: take onion, tomatoes, garlic and ginger in a grinder. Make a fine paste.
Step 3: heat oil in a pressure cooker. Add the paste and cook well until it leaves oil from the sides.
Step 4: add all spices and mix well.
Step 5: now add the Palak and soaked dal and mix well.
Step 6: close the lid of the pressure cooker and cook for 3-4 whistles on low flame.
Step 7: open the pressure cooker once the steam settles.
Step 8: served hot with Parantha.
