Methi Aloo Recipe!

Methi aloo is a winter special dish that is made using fresh fenugreek leaves. The freshness of the leaves along with crisp potatoes and spices makes it an extreme mouth watering dish. It tastes even better when consumed with hot Paranthas. Let’s see how we make it.

Ingredients

Methi leaves (500 gms),

3 potatoes, 1 tomatoes,

salt to taste,

1 tbsp red chilli powder,

1 tbsp turmeric powder

Recipe

Step 1: chop well the methi leaves. Wash them and allow to dry for 1 hour.

Step 2: dice the potatoes. take a pan. Add 3-4 tbsp sarso oil to it. Add the diced potatoes and let them cook for about 5-7 minutes. Once slightly Brown, take them out on a plate.

Step 3: Add another 2 tbsp sarso oil to the pan. Add the chopped methi leaves to the pan and allow them to cook and dry. Lower the flame and let them cook for good 15 minutes till the water is dried.

Step 4: now add the potatoes and chopped tomatoes. Add all slices and mix well.

Step 5: let it cook for around 10 minutes. Do not cover.

Step 6: Serve hot with Paranthas.
