Vietnamese Coffee

in Foodies Bee Hive β€’ 4 years ago (edited)

Vietnam is the world’s second largest exporter of coffee. We are crazy about coffee πŸ˜„. For us, coffee plays an important part in our daily social life. It's not just a drink-it's our culture πŸ™‚

Coffee shops can be found at every corner in the country, from street-side to highly-stylised shops. You can see locals sitting in the coffee shops all day long and we go to shop for many different reasons like: catch up with friend, meet client, interview, study or just simply watch street, etc.

I'm sure,(after Food) coffee is one of things that tourists love about Viet Nam and a must-try when you visit Viet Nam. It's flavorful and strong πŸ˜„...just damn good

Let's me list how many types of coffee we have made: (iced/hot) milk coffee, (iced/hot) black coffee, coconut coffee, egg coffee, yoghurt coffee, salt coffee, and and and....durian coffee πŸ˜† We sound to have some unusual coffee tastes in the world 😜

Today, I would love to share 3 best types of coffee that I highly recommend.

1. Vietnamese Iced Coffee

My go-to coffee every single day πŸ˜ƒ
We almost drink the dark and strong brew with sweetened condensed milk. (Fresh milk is not a common ingredient here)
If you don't like milk, can use sugar instead and we call it " black coffee"πŸ™‚

Another way very traditional Vietnamese and if you have time πŸ˜„ is to get a coffee phin filter. A layer of condensed milk at the bottom of a glass, the signature coffee press is then placed on top and slowly drip drip drip πŸ˜†

2. Egg Coffee

Have you heard about Egg coffee? Well πŸ˜„ What's on your head when hearing it?
"Egg coffee is thick, strong and dark vietnamese brewed coffee topped with a sweet, light and creamy foam of egg yolk and condensed milk."

Traditionally from Hanoi, egg coffee has become famous. If you visit Ha Noi, don't miss this and you can find the real taste of egg coffee at "Giang coffee" (History of the 70-year-old coffee). You can still find good egg coffee in other parts of Viet Nam.

It's the most amazing coffee I have ever tried.

3. Coconut Coffee

Coconut coffee-yea summer treat-beat the heat πŸ˜‹

It's simple recipe and easy to make a freshing and tasty coconut coffee. Black strong coffee is blended with coconut cream, condensed milk and ice in a sort of shake, and then I prefer to put some dried sliced coconut or fresh meat coconut on top.

Let's grab a coffee and enjoy the weekend

Thank you @@@sajannair and team 😍

I did not know Vietnam was the worlds 2nd largest exporter of coffee! I am not sure I have ever had any! I will look out for it (although a quick google search I see that US is the biggest buyer of your coffee).

These days I prefer my coffee straight up. No milk, no sugar. But the coconut coffee sounds good!

Have a good day!

Hey @felt.buzz thanks for your support and reblog. Much appreciated.
Honestly, I didnt know until I did a research, yea we arethe 2nd largest exporter of coffee just after Brazil. I have some American friends and all of them do like Vietnamese coffee, so I would like to recommend you πŸ™‚
Have a great week 🌞

Yumi-yumi! It is tasty even to read! I thing the egg coffee could be my favourite. Or the coconut one πŸ˜€πŸŒ·
