Rice Dish
We are back again with another rice(nice) contest. In Malaysia, they call me 'fan tong' which means in cantonese, a rice bucket because I need to have my daily intake of rice everyday. In Malaysia, rice is the staple food for most meals and it is easily obtain everywhere. The minute u walk out of your house, you'll see restaurants selling fried rice, nasi lemak, briyani rice, claypot chicken rice and many more.
For this contest, you must create a rice dish. It can be anything from paella, briyani, fried rice or anything that has rice as the main star of the dish.
This contest is in collaboration with @foodiesunite and they will be also rewarding the winners with foodie tokens.

To participate in this contest where rice is the main protagonist, I decided to prepare an Arroz Chaufa with chicken and chorizo. This is a very popular dish here in Peru. The origin of the dish dates back to the time when there were migrants of Chinese origin in this country, it is said that the Chinese prepared a dish with the rice rations they received daily and the leftovers from the previous day, which could be meat or fish. After frying the rice with butter, they mixed it with the leftovers and finally they painted it with "Sillao" or soy sauce.Chaufa rice has been present in Peruvian gastronomy for many years, but it is still very popular. It is very popular to find it in the menu of the simplest restaurants as well as in the most luxurious ones.
Its variation depends on the ingredients that accompany the rice, which can include chicken, fish, meat, jerky and sausages. For this occasion I am going to prepare it with chicken and chorizo as it is my favorite...
