ARGENTINE TANGO PERFORMANCE

As I mentioned before, our mini Afro-Latin Baile sa Sugbo event was full of performances by a few artists from Manila, Cebu, Bacolod, and Iloilo! From professional dancers or teachers to students and guests, the dance floor was filled with amazing people who danced flawlessly to the music of Bachata, Kizomba, Argentine Tango, Salsa, and Zouk! And with this, I decided to share our awesome performances here in Hive.
The first performance I'm going to share is that of Teachers Danilo and Hiromi who taught the Basics of Argentine Tango during our Day 1 of workshops! Yes, Teacher Hiromi is Japanese and has lived, studied, and performed Argentine Tango here in Cebu for 10 years if I'm not mistaken while Teacher Danilo has been dancing since he was little so Latin is his thing. They have been dancing Argentine Tango as a couple for years and have consistently won competitions locally and internationally. I've already watched them perform several times in person but I'm still and always will be in awe once they start dancing the difficult dance of Argentine Tango. I say difficult because it is! It takes years to master this art!
During this performance, I feel lucky to be able to witness how they brought justice to this dance with elegance and grace! You would notice how everyone is in silence while they conquered the dance floor! Even I couldn't miss it even though all the performing dancers that night were asked to wait backstage! Oh my gosh! That's so unbelievable. I'm actually focus on watching their foot steps because that's the hardest one. It has many difficult parts where I am thinking if I can dance like that.
I danced salsa before when I was in high school. Teacher Danilo and Hiromi nailed it. They danced majestically and leaving the audience in awed. Wow! I'm hoping to watch more of these dances miss.
Man you are very right about the legs. I was just looking at their postures and I think this is something they must have practiced over time.
Truly! If I was exposed to this type of dancing before... I would definitely learn it be a pro lile them!
it is never too late. If you find the time to dedicate to it, you would be pro in no time. but to the way I see it, at our age, it would be quite hard getting into something that does not increase to us financially.
Hey! Thanks for watching! Their footwork are sharp and fast! Seeing these 2 teachers dance made me feel intimidated by dance thinking its so hard and technical but this also made me want to challenge myself and perhaps in the future take some classes of Argentine Tango!
