the question of how digital artworks from virtual space can be presented in the analog world was recently explored by käpt'n kalle. the triumph of nft (non fungible token) art seems to have arrived in the analog world as well, following its success in the virtual world. this type of artwork can now not only be found in auction houses but, as käpt'n kalle is now proving, also in conventional exhibition spaces, the so-called white cube. in this case, the artist does not even need a digital device for the presentation of his latest digital works.
even though the artist doesn't think much of smartphones, he forces his audience to use them. in doing so, the viewer doesn't notice how dependent he has become on his device and can't even get by in an art exhibition without it. all those without a smartphone are thus excluded if they want to know what's behind the qr code. in this way, the viewer submits to his curiosity and the dictates of an artist to use a smartphone. but käpt'n kalle doesn't even have one. but there are other aspects that exclude people from cultural events in our days. for example, the compulsion to use a smartphone to view the animation exists alongside constraints such as the submission of personal data, wearing a mask, proof of being vaccinated, tested or recovered, ... . since the freedom-loving käpt'n kalle doesn't think much of imposed constraints, here's a little insight into the exhibition.
for interested people on site, who are not deterred by being vaccinated, tested or recovered the exhibition can be visited from monday to friday from 9.00 a.m. to 1.00 p.m. in the villa of the herrenhof in mußbach. admission is free. but even without the exhibition this historical place is worth a visit.

his digital artworks all have a direct reference to public urban space. käpt'n kalle did not stop at photo-documentary work. the artist breathed new life into the photographs and developed them into animations, among other things.

der frage, wie sich digitale kunstwerke des virtuellen raumes in der analogen welt präsentieren lassen, ist käpt'n kalle jüngst nachgegangen. der siegeszug der nft(non fungible token)-kunst scheint nach den erfolgen in der virtuellen welt auch in der analogen welt angekommen zu sein. so lassen sich diese art kunstwerke inzwischen nicht nur in auktionshäusern finden sondern, wie käpt´n kalle nun unter beweis stellt, auch in herkömmlichen ausstellungsräumen dem sogenannten white cube. zur präsentation seiner neusten digitalen werke benötigt der künstler in diesem fall, noch nicht einmal ein digitales gerät für die präsentation.
auch wenn der künstler nicht viel von smartphones hält, so nötigt er sein publikum diese zu verwenden. dabei bemerkt der betrachter nicht, wie abhängig er von seinem gerät inzwischen ist und noch nicht einmal mehr in einer kunstausstellung ohne dieses auskommt. all jene, ohne ein smartphon werden dadurch ausgeschlossen, wenn sie wissen möchten, was sich hinter dem qr-code befindet. so unterwirft sich der betrachter mit seinem smartphone seiner neugierde und dem diktat eines künstlers. dabei verfügt käpt'n kalle gar nicht über ein solches. doch es gibt noch weitere aspekte, die menschen in unseren tagen von kulturellen veranstaltungen ausschließen. so besteht der zwang ein smartphone zum betrachten der animation benutzen zu müssen neben zwängen, wie die abgabe persönlicher daten, tragen einer maske, einem nachweis geimpft, getestet oder genesen zu sein, ... . da der freiheitsliebende käpt'n kalle von auferlegten zwängen nichts hält, hier nun ein kleiner einblick in die ausstellung.
für interessenten vor ort, welche sich durch 3g nicht abschrecken lassen: die ausstellung lässt sich montags bis freitags 9.00 bis 13 uhr in der villa des herrenhofs in mußbach besuchen. der eintritt ist kostenlos.
in naher zukunft folgen weitere informationen zu den nft-kunstwerken. darüber hinaus kündigt der künstler hiermit auch die erscheinung von digitalen kunstwerken auf nft showroom an, wo seine werke bald gegen hive erhältlich sein werden.
