no, not really - that would totally spoil it. It is supposed to be crisp on the outside. You normally serve it with a mixed salad on the side (not on the same plate, so as not to soak the breading). A traditional Schnitzelplate in Vienna used to have a separate part for the salad. However at the famous Restaurant FiglmĂĽller the Schnitzel are so big they hang over the side of a regular plate.
