Bevor ich mich später hier noch ordentlich allen vorstelle mit einem eigenen Post, gibt es hier einen alten Reisebericht von mir, der euch schon mal einen kleinen Einblick in meine Leidenschaft gibt :)
Rückblickend betrachtet liegt der Ursprung meiner Musikbegeisterung und dem unbändigen Freiheitsdrang wohl irgendwo im Herzen Tennessee's.
Looking back, the source of my enthusiasm for music and the boundless desire for freedom is somewhere in the heart of Tennessee.
Before I later introduce myself properly to everyone with my own post, there is an old travel report from me, which gives you a little insight into my passion :)
Zu Besuch bei Freunden in den Südstaaten standen auf dem Reiseplan natürlich Memphis und Nashville, die Geburtsorte der Blues- und Country-Musik.
Of course, Memphis and Nashville, birthplaces of blues and country music, were on the travel plan for friends in the southern states.
In der Beale Street - der Heimat des Blues - in Memphis liegt die Musik wortwörtlich in der Luft. Von Strassenkünstlern bis zu Bühnendarbietungen in vielen kleinen Live-Clubs.
The music is literally in the air on Beale Street - the home of blues - in Memphis. From street artists to stage performances in many small live clubs.
Das Highlight war der Besuch im B. B. King's Blues Club. Energiegeladene Live-Musik, typisch amerikanisches Essen und grünes Bier zum St. Patrick´y Day :)

Am nächsten Tag dann 220 Meilen rüber ins benachbarte Nashville. Auch hier regiert die Musik, aber statt dem Blues hat die Country-Music den (Cowboy-)Hut auf.
Downtown entlang den Broadway, ein Live-Club jagt den nächsten und wer der Musik zugetan ist, wird hier so schnell nicht wieder weg wollen.
The next day then 220 miles over to neighboring Nashville. Here, too, the music rules, but instead of the blues, country music has the (cowboy) hat on.
Downtown along Broadway, one live club is chasing the next, and those who care about music will not want to leave here so quickly.
Und den Touristen-Quatsch haben wir auch kurz mitgemacht. Mit frisch erworbenen Cowboy-Hüten gab es zum Abschluss eine Runde Billard - die ich selbstverständlich gewonnen habe :-)
And the tourist nonsense we have also briefly participated. With newly purchased cowboy hats there was a round of billiard - which I have won of course :-)
