Ich habe vor Kurzem den Channel von JoergSprave auf YouTube entdeckt, der sich mit Pfeil und Bogen beschäftigt und immer sehr witzige Videos dazu macht, wie dieses hier, wo er die Standfestigkeit von Polizei-Schutzschildern testet.
Diese Schilder halten tatsächlich einiges aus, aber gegen den deutschen Bogenschützen und Slingshot-Bastler Joerg sind auch diese Schilder machtlos 😂
Das Video ist übrigens vor Corona entstanden und hat inzwischen schon über 2 Millionen Views bekommen.
Das Markenzeichen von Jörg ist sein höllisches Lachen, was einfach mega cool und sympathisch rüberkommt.
Sind Pfeil und Bogen eine gute Selbstverteidigungswaffe, die in Deutschland sogar (noch) legal erworben und geführt werden dürfen? Was denkt ihr?

I recently discovered the channel of JoergSprave on YouTube, a German archer and slingshot expert, who reviews the features of bows and arrows and always makes very funny videos about it, like this one, where he tests the stability of police riot shields.
These shields actually withstand quite a lot, but against the German archer and Slingshot creator Joerg also these shields are powerless 😂
By the way, the video was made before Corona and has already received over 2 million views.
The trademark of Joerg is his hellish laugh, which is just super cool and friendly.
Are bows and arrows a good self-defense weapon that can (still) be legally purchased and carried in Germany? What do you think?

You definitely have to hear his laughter, it's so cool, and most of his videos are in English also.
I just rewatched it with sound. That is a great laugh. Its hilarious that is safety equipment is his "new t-shirt" and basically his standard reading glasses lol.

Joerg is a character, ain't he? For distance self defense I'd prefer a good slingshot over bow and arrow. It can do serious damage and you can carry a lot of ball bearings in your pocket; arrows not so much. Bow and arrow are just too clumsy for self defense.
Of course, nothing beats a Glock IMHO. With full auto conversion and 100-round mags you could put the fear of God in just about anybody, even a small Police force if need be. If we were armed as we should be, the current Corona BS would play much different. "Querschläger" beats "Querdenker", doesn't it? Instead, here we are, with our dicks in our hands :-(

Nein, Pfeil und Bogen sind viel zu umständlich zur Selbstverteidigung, auch das Nachladen müssen macht Pfeile unbrauchbar. Nur auf Distanz, z.B. zur Verteidigung eines Schutzwalles, ist das nützlich, aber wie oft kommt das schon vor, außer bei "Herr der Ringe"?
Zur Selbstverteidigung ist am besten Pfefferspray oder eine handliche Glock, z.B. die G43X (sofern man sie tragen darf).
Danke für die Tipps, wie sieht es in Österreich eigentlich derzeit mit dem Führen von Messern zur Selbstverteidigung aus?
Ist erlaubt (im Gegensatz zuDeutschland)!
