Hello again CineTV! Hope the weekend was good for you! Have you seen any film? or series? Did you like it? Let us know!
Don't forget we have new writing prompts published almost every other day. You can always go to them for topic inspiration, because hey, I'm pretty sure it's not only me who suffers from a lack of topics from time to time! We don't always have to choose topics or create ones out of the blue! It's okay to go with the community once in a while.

Cine Contest Update
The current contest Your Favorite Movie(s) From 2021 is still open and the deadline is 5th April 2022, 11:59 PM, UTC time. So you still have some time if you want to take part in it.
The results will be published next week, along with a brand new contest.
Let's highlight some of the mentionable posts from this week that was posted in CineTV. We want to recognize exceptional pieces and let the authors know their efforts are not futile. This is also a fine way to get some more traction in their posts.

Wes Anderson is known for his unique set design, color scheme, and deadpan/dark comedy—a style many love that has also been called merely a gimmick by his critics. His 2021 film The French Dispatch is probably the culmination of his style in its ripest stage. It's fun, quirky, often thoughtful and as usual stylish as hell. Also, there's some homage to Jacques Tati and French New Wave in general.

One of the most hailed films of entire cinema history, 2001 A Space Odyssey (1968) was released this week. Revered as the greatest sci-fi film ever made, the film directly influenced the moon landing, boosting morale. The filmmaker Stanley Kubrick being such a perfectionist, conspiracy theories still linger even today that he shot the moon landing and there was no actual moon voyage! Yep, people can be crazy sometimes. But that only speaks for the director's capabilities.

Another great film from the master of comedy, Billy Wilder. Some like it Hot was released this week.
The Motion Pictures Production Code
In 1930 the famous production code was introduced. There were guidelines on how to show sex, violence, etc on screen, sort of like censoring. Films before the code are generally referred to pre-code era. The Postcode period lasted for 34 years.
A bunch of distinguished individuals was born this week. Andrei Tarkovsky, the cinema poet who changed the cinema scene, influenced nearly every single modern director today. A spiritual guide for any film lover as well a patron of art. Then we have Éric Rohmer, one of the founders of The French New Wave. He also edited Cahiers Du Cinema magazine back then. Roy Andersson is a Swedish filmmaker known for his bleak surreal dramas revolving around human lives and the hardship we face as human beings. Finnish filmmaker Aki Kaurismäki is known among the cinephile crowd, known for his minimalistic style. An auteur through and through.
Then we have two great actors from two worlds, Toshirô Mifune from Japanese cinema who worked in many films made by Akira Kurosawa. And Marlon Brando, the Hollywood legend!
Hugo Weaving is another great actor who is often overlooked and forgotten.
And then we have Heath Ledger and Robert Downey Jr. who are quite capable actors.

2001 was great, I'm sorry Dave, I can't do that. Talking of conspiracies, have you seen the film The Hamburg Syndrome? It is a classic and well worth watching. So many similarities to politicians today.

I would like to make a comment related to the official frontend of the Community https://www.cinetv.blog/ and I find that some Markdown syntax is not working properly.
Let me explain better: when in Markdown I try to differentiate one paragraph from another (for example when doing translations) there is a vertical bar that differentiates them as in the attached image from Peakd.
However, in the official CineTV frontend it shows me the bar but the text in quotation marks as if it was a textual reference, like when a person makes a statement. In the second image it looks fine.
Can't this problem be solved? Thanks.
