In the contract with Ursula Ariel was made dumb and couldn't talk, the contract didn't say she couldn't write to her Prince either, so why didn't she just write?
In all the quiet time she had with him, she could have just written "Kiss Me" on a piece of paper and it would have all been over.
Further, she was nor the only one involved, she had Sebastian and her other sea creature friends, why didn't any of them think about writing? 😅
Especially Sebastian who seems to be a wise fella who thinks outside the box. Damn, we've really gotten The Little Mermaid with this one. This is such a huge flaw in the story and thinking about it now just makes the story feel trashy.
But before this meme none of us have thought about this before, have we? It never occurred to us that Ariel could have just written. Even myself who prides himself as a critical observer who sees what most don't see, I never thought of it, and had to see this meme ro realize it.
Crazy how it skipped all of us, isn't it?
But at the same time, I think something like this should not have been missed by a story writer. A viewer might be easily fooled by this but a writer worth his salt is supposed to have thought about their story with some crazy depths that would have made a flaw like this slipping in almost impossible.
But I guess we all make mistakes. On the other hand is it possible Disney saw the flaw but let it go on? Sounds unlikely, but I still think it's a possibility. Maybe one or a few people saw it but saw how everyone else didn't see it and thought if this many people can be fooled then the flaw is not that bad and it would do well with the fans. And it did.

Well, I sure as heck know that Disney did not, in fact, think of that, lol. I guess the younger generations are becoming a lot wiser than we were at that age. But yeah, when I saw the movie when I was a lot older, I didn't fail to notice all the loopholes. I guess that's why it was made for children? Or maybe just people with low intelligence.😄
