Although the Amazon River is the second largest in the world it’s the largest in terms of the size of its watershed, the number of tributaries, and the volume of water it discharges to the sea.

You will find no bridges across any part of the river and the reason is because it runs through the Amazon rainforest.

It is such a big river that it is responsible for more than a fifth of fresh water that flows into the ocean.

The Amazon rainforest is the largest rainforest in the world and a lot of plants and animals are dependent on the water from the river.

One of the animals you will find in the river is the freshwater pink river Dolphin. This species is endangered, which means there is not a lot left of them because of humans killing it. It is very sad to know that humans are responsible for the extinction of many plants and animals .
