Singapore Contact Tracing Tokens

in Education3 years ago

After the breakout of Covid-19 in Singapore, a mobile app called TraceTogether was introduced to facilitate contact tracing so that immediate isolation can be done speedily and effectively.

With the activation of the app, all near contact with us would be recorded everywhere we go with others who have also installed the app.

It is definitely an effective way but our senior citizens who are not comfortable with mobile application may find it hard to use.

As a result, Singapore has rolled out free Tracing tokens that aim to cover 70% of the Singapore population.

Each token would cost Singapore government about US$7.32 so the government would be spending millions to roll out this programme.

Covid-19 has definitely affected the world economy so effective control of this virus would go a long way.
