The Unexpected Young Hero

in Education4 years ago

Virgil Smith was only 13 years old when he became a young hero.

He used an air mattress to move a total of 17 people to safety during the hurricane.

Everywhere was flooded but it did not stop him from doing the right thing in saving lives.

After his brave act, he did not brag about it to anyone.

He was awarded an Auggie Award that was a scholarship for school as well as a donation to the Harvey relief effort with his name on it to honour his brave act.

I believe there are many adults who may not have this courage and his bravery is an inspiration to this generation of youngsters.
