I don't think it's only my own impression—because I asked around and saw other people's reactions too—but it seems to me the older I get the quicker time seems to pass.
It may be the speed of the society nowadays, but I also believe it has something to do with the age. The older I get the more aware I become of how quickly time passes and how much I still want to do and probably will only partly reach, if I'm lucky...
As we know, on Hive the beginning of each month is coming with a Hive Power Up Day (Hive Creators team made a nice interactive page dedicated to the event) and the beginning of a new Power Up Month challenge, for those who participate.
Last month, 48 users powered up or posted with 100% HP rewards every day of the month. I am one of them, despite only posting 5 times in November. This challenge is more about the consistency or habit of powering up, rather than big amounts. One can power up once a big amount and be done with it, without being interested in this challenge.
On the HPUD side, I've done something more "radical" than usually for the past many months. I powered up much more HIVE, since keeping a good chunk liquid makes less and less sense and hasn't been supported by reality (i.e. market conditions) for some time.
Today I powered up a little over 1,182 HIVE on gadrian:
and 100 HIVE on gadrian-sp:
While the former account is my posting account and I won't hold myself back from powering down at a later point if that is my plan at the time, gadrian-sp is my staking account, which is very unlikely to power down except in very special circumstances (like... HIVE going to 10 dollars, lol).
Either way, it felt like the right conditions to put back to work some of my liquid HIVE for a change.
Initially, I only powered up 1k HIVE to gadrian, but then I noticed something interesting. If I had added the rest, my total HP under control on gadrian for curation purposes (i.e. its own stake + delegated from gadrian-sp), would hit a very round number: 50000. So, I did it and you can see in the image below I now have 50k HP of curation power, so to speak.

I've seen a lot of people doing big power ups, but then the actual dollar value is not that massive. It's still good to spread the voting power. Curation is a super power on Hive.
I'm hoping for good things in 2026. It's crazy that we are a quarter of the way through this century.

That can be a good thing. Those who buy now don't pay a lot for pretty significant stakes. And when I think that when I came on the other chain I purchased the token at over 1$...
There are still perspectives for 2026, but if these resistances on BTC and not only fall, we may continue on the way down for a longer time. However, There are too many aspects that "promise" a good 2026. We will see, I suppose.
Yes it is. And how many things have happened, especially in the last few years but before that too, but I didn't follow them as closely.
i agree with this, the older you get the quicker times moves, one year for example as a kid is pretty long, as a adult working it's fast
Yeah... How we change in time... Most children want to grow up quicker (so they think time passes slowly), and when we are adults, we sometimes would like to be in the shoes of our younger selves for a little while.
