HistoryLegends brings on Wyatt of Defense Politics Asia, New World Economics Reports, and Weeb Union Channels, to give their thoughts on the overall conflict, the recent Russian victory in Bakhmut, and what that means for Ukraine. He says that the second part of the talk should come soon.

  • The Media Denial
  • Casualty Numbers
  • Wagner Seeking Extra Artillery as they claim "there's no artillery"
  • The Cost for Ukraine’s defence was the best and most experienced troops
  • Zaluzhny's absence
  • The "Offensive" is on hold
  • There wasn't any Bakhmut Withdrawal, instead they kept sending in more troops to hold Bakhmut at all costs, the flank operation was likely put on hold because Zaluzhny was the one responsible for it
  • Wagner will continue, 10k/month seeking to join the Musicians, as before they take an operational pause as the Russians keep increasing their numbers
  • The Complete Absence of the 350k Russians from the front
  • War of Attrition and the need for Ukraine to show results for aid, which is why Ukraine needs to launch the offensive first, Ukrainian War of attrition was Geopolitical and Economical against Russia, but Russia is winning both, all paid by the sanctions which fuels Russian oil and gas prices
  • As the Ukrainians are destroyed by attrition, they are in desperate need for European Aid, without which Ukraine can't pay it's mercenaries, not just it's troops
  • Polls show Ukraine to launch first, Russia can wait, Ukraine cannot
  • 4 month of training for Ukranian F16 pilots
  • Russian Air, Artillery, Missile, and Bomb Superiority destroying the Ukrainians everyday, the longer the higher the casualties
  • Superior Russian Air Defense and the Dwindling Soviet Ukranian Air Defense
  • Ukraine running out of SU24 which is why they need F16
  • Ukrainians have no Airstrike Capability
  • Russian SU57 are taking out the Ukrainians
  • The Impotence of Leopard and Challenger 2 without Air Cover and Anti Air defenses
  • They each give their take on the Ukrainian Flank Attack on Bakhmut, Wyatt thinks it was an actual offensive while HistoryLegends thinks it's a rehearsal, and New World Econ seems to agree but thinks the Ukrainians have lost significant amounts in the nuke like explosion of Khmelnytskyi which could be why the offensive he thinks will come isn't manifesting at the moment.

In my opinion, between Zaluzhny missing and the Relentless work of Russian Air and Artillery the Ukrainians are reduced to desperate PR victory, which explains the suicide attacks on Russia where the Ukrainians gifted the Russian forces in Belgorod with American made MRAPS and Humvees and the hilarious "Successful strike of the Russian Spy ship" make believe, they need to show some progress, no matter how fleeting, like the attacks on the flanks of Bakhmut, or fruitless, like the terrorist attack on Russians, or imaginary, and I'm curious if part 2 of the roundtable will touch on those things.
