Quite sad to be helpless and old and turn into a sitting duck in these nursing homes for which you pay money. They would have been better in the classic stay at home lockdown. The irony of calling these prisons "nursing homes"

Yes the conditions in these places is bad, even pre COVID. In state-funded ones, they are understaffed often, and the elderly are left in soiled diapers for days sometimes.
It happens in here in my country too. It is unfair towards the people to be treated like this. The perspective of nursing homes continuing to be like this is very troubling. In such a case it would worth to replace human staff with robots, then surely they would do a better job. Who knows, we'll see. Until we will get robots to do our jobs, we should work on ourselves as a human species.
