I totally did not mean to post this in the DeepDives community, my apologies...

There’s nothing like free ranging cattle in the mountain meadows of the southwest to bring about the feeling of experiencing a taste of the old West, at least not for me. There were cattle everywhere in these parts, in Central Utah, until just a few days ago when the ranchers came through to escort them back home for the winter. But while they were around, Dakota enjoyed herding them like the little cattle dog she was bred to be, although I don’t think she really had a destination in mind. Nonetheless, pretty cool to watch a herding dog doing what they are naturally born to do, even without training; she’d definitely pick it up quick if one was to train her. Unfortunately I didn’t get any great pictures of her in action, so here’s another picture of more of the cows...

I was able to get a pretty good picture of Dakota in the creek when she was getting a drink during a bike ride, however.

Change is in the air, as the seasons are definitely beginning to change, so I’m enjoying the autumn colors before all the leaves fall.

Scenery here is gorgeous, especially with the wide variety of colors.

Moonrise with a full moon is always really cool.

It got smoky for a couple of days, but then the smoke all blew out, and now it is as clear as can be, with a view from the mountainside where I can pick up cell reception looking out east towards the desert below:

And that’s about all the cool new photos I have, but I’ll share more whenever I find some new scenery or other cool shots.

Definitely breath taking shots! Lucky you.

Thanks, it is definitely a little slice of paradise, minus all the hunting traffic and gunshots, which finally do seem to have subsided after the initial frenzy in the first week of hunting season... Now it is much more peaceful and quite again with some epic views all over the place, but I can feel the changing seasons coming.

I would love moving there if it wasn't so darn dry.
