The president of the Citizens Association “Dedovina”, Djordje Petrović, reminded those present of the rules of conduct during the procession and read the prayer. As at the previous event, the choir of the Rukumija Monastery ‘St. Romanos the Melodist’ opened the procession with a song.

Председник удружења грађана „Дедовина“, Ђорђе Петровић, подсетио је присутне на правила понашања током литије и очитао молитву. Као и на претходном догађају, хор ‘Свети Роман Слаткопојац’ при манастиру Рукумија отворио је литију песмом.

Unlike the first procession, at the head of this one, in addition to the cross and the flag with the saints, there was a warning slogan: If we are silent, the stones start talking.

За разлику од прве литије, на челу ове, осим крста и барјака са свецима била је и упозоравајућа парола: Ако ми ћутимо, камење ће да проговори.

The route of this procession was significantly longer than the first one, which means that a much larger number of people had the opportunity to be informed about waking up in the city.

Траса ове литије била је знатно дужа од прве, што значи да је много већи број људи имао прилике да се обавести о буђењу у граду.

Along the entire route, people greeted and filmed procession.

Дуж целе трасе људи су поздрављали и снимали литију.

It took about an hour to reach the destination of the liturgy, the church of St. Lucas. The people gathered again with a song, counting that the priests would join the faithful people.

До одредишта литије, цркве Светог Луке, требало је око сат времена. Народ се поново окупио уз песму, рачунајући да ће се свештеници прикључити верном народу.

Unfortunately, the most unpleasant possible surprise happened there: the church door remained closed in front of the people.

Нажалост, ту се десило најнепријатније могуће изненађење: Црквена врата остала су пред народом затворена.

The priests should be reminded that in Montenegro, too, a great change began with the folk processions which the church joined only in order to avoid shame. And there it was only church property at stake, while here the basic human rights and the very survival of the people came into question.

It is not an unusual fact that the church proved to be a rigid bureaucratized structure without any contact with reality and the people. This is also a centralized hierarchical structure in which corruption is a completely natural thing.

But this procession was not organized for the sake of division. Everything passed without any incidents, and that is why the clergy were not reprimanded. Instead, they were appealed to join the faithful people in the hope that it would happen at some point.

Требало би подсетити свештенике да је и у Црној Гори велика промена почела народним литијама којима се црква придружила тек како би избегла срамоту. А тамо је у питању била тек црквена имовина, а овде су у питање дошла основна људска права и сам опстанак народа.

Није необична чињеница да се црква показала као крута бирократизована структура без додира са стварношћу и народом. И то је централизована хијерархијска структура у којој је корупција сасвим природна ствар.

Али ова литија није организована ради подела. Све је протекло без икаквих инцидената, и зато свештенству нису биле упућене речи прекора, већ позива да се прикључе верном народу уз наду да ће се то у једном тренутку ипак десити.

The people then headed again to the main town square, where the good hosts from CA “Dedovina” prepared a modest serving for the participants of the procession.
