I still go into it when my son's welfare is at stake apparently. Or perhaps this should be left as is... a cub needs a mama bear!
I do hope it helps others make headway faster than I did. And more...
I hope the professionals in the arena find it and begin to use more practical approaches and methods and actually tackle the reasons people are struggling instead of just medicating the symptoms!
As a person who suffers Depression, and who has children who have Depression and Anxiety, I fully appreciate how you use "natural" methods to be able to work with it. I do not dance anymore (I have attempted ballet in the past, if you can believe it), but physical exercise is still a key for me. I try to impress that upon the children, too, but they're either teen or young adult and feel like I don't know very much. 🤷♂
I think it's incredibly positive that you have found what works for you and use that positively with your children.

I find a lot of value in dancing! I'm at the tail end of a flu, so I am trying to wiggle some sick out dancing... I dance if I am sad or angry. I dance with my kids if they are unhappy. Movement is so good for the mind and soul!! I agree that dancing can totally be medicinal, in tons of ways! 😁

Dancing. It shifts things so quickly in so many ways!
It kept me alive in many ways. It makes me happy you do it with your kids. Really special. Really, really...
And yes. The movement and music definitely make it easier to stay a bit more detached if it's used to process uncomfortable feelings and work through them.
I dance all of the time! Even when I'm cooking. Sometimes stuff gets burned but hey :D
