RE: Ventilators Aren't Working? 80% of NYC Coronavirus Patients Die When Put on Ventilators

in Deep Dives4 years ago

I have long been an advocate for hyperbaric O2 treatment, in which a bag of higher pressure O2 enriched air encapsulates the subject, thus causing O2 to enter the tissue via the skin, enabling O2 enrichment even where insufficient lung capacity or blood transport issues affect the patient.

It sounds like this would be an excellent opportunity to practice hyperbaric treatment of patients that would be intubated, presenting with an 80% chance of death, as compassionate care exceptions. It's what I would want in that condition.

Or gills. Dunno how to make those, though.

Thanks!

Well, that may be a way to get it in better for sure, but not really a way to treat lots of ppl. Chloroquine and zinc works even in serious conditions as I understand it. If not, then oxygen chambers or masks would be certainly warranted for the numbers it can help.
