The other thing most miss is this, in the U.S.,
If I had a lot of money - a few billion, and some friends who did as well...
We could "buy" the whole political system.
Since there is only one of two parties expected to win,
It is really very, very easy to decided the whole thing beforehand.
And....
It does not matter what you tell the people, they have to live with it anyway...
