Tiny flowers in my garden

Today I saw small flowers on some plants in my garden. They are almost imperceptible. I pause for a moment to look at the leaves of the plants, above all the large flowers, otherwise I would not be able to see them.

This plant has been flowering for a few days. It started with a small flower with five heart-shaped petals. Then it continued with more branches. At its distal end, it produces this small fuchsia flower. In its center, the pistils are yellow.

It also reveals another structure, next to the pistils, which emerges on one side in the shape of a flower, with elongated petals. It is the same fuchsia color as the petals of the flower.

I have seen this plant with hanging branches many times. The leaves are thickened and elongated. As I get closer, I notice these tiny flowers, almost imperceptible to the eye.

I have to take the pictures with a lot of magnification to see that a small bouquet sprouts at its apical end. They are flowers with two petals, very similar in shape to the leaves of the plant.

The color of the petals is a very light lilac. I cannot see the pistils very clearly because my phone cannot give me more magnification with the sharpness of the flower. I cannot imagine how these small bouquets of flowers are right before my eyes, and I have never been able to see them.

As I continue walking, determined to observe the tiny flowers in the garden, I notice this other flower. It has two bluish petals and yellow pistils. It is a shrubby plant that has grown on the garden floor. It must have arrived with the breeze, with the butterflies or birds that frequent my garden.

It has grown, spreading into an area where it does not bother my plants, but I must remove it at any moment. This shrubby plant can consume the nutrients of the plant that I am interested in preserving.

This plant is called Santamaría, which is a medicinal plant. After so many efforts to get it to branch out, it has done so. Now that it is mature, it is producing small clusters of pink flowers.

From a distance, the flower does not seem to attract attention, but when photographed in macro, its flowers can be distinguished by their sinuous lines and yellow center. These are flowers to be appreciated on another level. Simple and colorful with a very striking shape, like the veils of Egyptian dancing ladies.

This other flower that we can see is produced by the spinach plant. There are many ends of the plant with these flower buds; they are globular, with mixed shades of green, white, and pink. They will later give rise to the seeds of the spinach plant. My spinach plant produces many hanging bouquets.

Perhaps there are other plants with tiny flowers, but I cannot see them at the moment.

The sun is already at its apogee, strong and radiant, and I must protect myself from its rays penetrating my skin.

Until the next collection of images in my garden.
