The basic ingredients for serving these oats look ordinary. But if you pay close attention, there are slices of young coconut meat that are very soft!

Young coconut deserves to be called the fruit of life just as the tree is the tree of life. Young coconut has a delicious taste and is full of properties for natural medicine for our bodies, and also for improving our mood.

There is brown sugar which makes oats taste sweeter and indulges the tongue, not boring. This is what makes the oats dish different this time.

This time I will share with you the recipe for 2 serving bowls.

The Ingredients

  • 600 grams of oats or about 8 tablespoons of oats.
  • 400 ml of plant-based milk
  • 50 grams of brown sugar, or coconut sugar. Finely chopped.
  • Fruits and young coconut meat for the toppings. Here I use dragon fruits and mango.

    Cook the oats with chopped brown sugar and plant-based milk.

Yummmm, I never thought of using brown sugar before - that would make it very fragrant!
That and the coconut flesh adds a special fresh taste to the dish... :)

This way is based on my family experience. In here Indonesia people don't like oats in general so we've added brown sugar to more delicious taste :)

Haha, some still refuse to eat oats here too.... until they suffer a health scare, then grudgingly eat it! Luckily I like oats! :)
