What's up everyone! Thanks to everyone who has posted to the ecoTrain community this week! We have a special round up of posts featuring some great Hivers who share such valuable information about many topics relating to sustainable living and building. I’m happy see many posts receiving great rewards for many curators, and especially OCD with our community incubation project. Keep up the great posting everyone, and enjoy this curation!

Remember, your posts will live forever on the blockchain to inspire and help us all. If you do post regularly and receive good up-votes please consider sending a bit of delegation to @ecoTrain! We can barely keep up with the curating and really appreciate your support, which comes right back at you 100 fold!

This week I would like to share a few posts that have received our combined support, and touch on some of the subjects that ecoTrain support. These topics include:

"Sustainability, ecoVillages, Community, Self-sufficiency, Off-grid Living, Homesteading, Permaculture, Alternative Energy, Alternative Lifestyle, Natural Health, Cooking, Eco-Building, Earthships, Recycling, Esoteric, Inner Transformation, Spiritual, Nature"

Small beans cakes served with garlic sauce

Vegan food is the ideal way of feeding ourselves, the only thing is that we have to know the nutritive value of food to satisfy the daily requirements we need to be healthy. As animal proteins are not present in the menu, it is important that you eat food which complement the body requirement of proteins.

I always make sure to eat beans, seeds, dried fruits, tofu, and vegetables and fruits such as avocados, eggplants, bananas, and cereals like quinoa. To be vegan means to be creative because it is not easy to cook a meal with the vitamins and minerals to promote a healthy growth of children.

EcoDesigns Apprenticeship Welcome ("Makara") Party

EcoDesigns Apprenticeship Welcome ("Makara") Party

In Cameroon, its customary that when an individual wants to learn a trade, they bring food and/or drinks to the workshop where they want to learn the trade for everyone to eat and/or drink. This activity is known as Makara Party; meaning welcome party.

EcoDesigns, a textile recycling and fashion designing hub that is training women and girls for free isn't left out from this tradition. Yesterday, we welcomed Rahimatu, a trainee who has been with us for one month.

ORGANIC ARCHITECTURE// Nature as a central axis.

Greetings to my dear readers of the #Hive platform, especially those who make life daily in the community with more approaches to issues of sustainability, sustainable development and life in balance with nature @ecotrain, where we can delight with extensive content associated with the welfare and environmental care.

In this opportunity, I will leave captured with this writing, an idea that from my perspective is assumed as interesting, attractive and with suitability in the times that surround us. Therefore, I will base this publication on the principles associated with organic architecture, a subject that, beyond the economic benefits, offers the opportunity to mesh harmoniously with the environment.

The power of 'visualization'!

Visualization is a very powerful success strategy. But it's also less practiced. Because it seems silly to sit and visualize our future. I guess, we all have to approve that visualization can give us a pure idea about.

Visualization is directly linked with creativity. The more creative our minds are the better we can predict. Or I would say, it a tool to make our mind creative. Because giving time to visualize our future is not actually an easy job. It gives us the power to think every pros and con, we can reevaluate our plan and adapt ourselves to the present situation. The continuous motivation and fuel it needs to visualize our success is the key to make us more powerful.

Being Thankful for our physical and mental health!

Are you thankful for your life? For what you have? If the answer is yes, then it's really great. But if you are not and don't feel grateful for everything, maybe you should give it a second thought. Being grateful doesn't require much practice but it surely needs lots of passion.

I think we should look around and see how people are living their life. In this regard, we have to concern downwards. For me, if I have a full functioning body I should feel thankful for that, if I have assurance for my next meal I should be grateful for that and the list is too big. A family, a friend, a shelter, an earning source everything is a source of feeling grateful. We have to remember that, many people out there don't have this life. They are struggling every single day for their dysfunctionality, inability and many more.

Arte Ingenuo- Naive Art

Greetings earthlings, yes, it's me again, and today I bring you a drawing that I made of naive digital art, look at that I have taken a long time making that eye and mouth, the rest has been somewhat easier, but more than 6 hours in the face, of course I just take my first steps and also use Paint, which is very similar to other programs but with its limitations, all with the computer mouse, I am already getting a taste for that program and specifically today I use paint.net .v4.2.14. I just downloaded that version today that the program informed me that there was a new one, before it was very difficult for me to understand this program, but I have been looking at some tutorials on Photoshop and I thought it was similar and after using it I saw that yes, in my computer I cannot download other programs to paint, because they are too heavy. Wow, I like that painting, the only bad thing is that it takes a long time, although it flies by, the thing is that I have to do other things and I've been painting for two days and I forget the other thing, hahaha.

25 Skills That Are Going to be In Demand If We’re All thrown back On Our Own Resources

When people talk about trading after the apocalypse, usually they start discussing whether you’re better off stockpiling extra ammunition or some surplus food. These are both great trade assets – for a while. Eventually they’ll run out, though, and then what? The guy who’s been bringing you fresh eggs every day isn’t going to keep doing it when you’ve run out of shells for his 12-gauge. Trading surplus supplies might be essential from time to time, but it’s never going to be a long-term solution because, in the end, your supplies will be gone.

How about gold and silver? Some preppers have a touching belief that they’ll be highly prized after society falls apart. I’m not so sure. I don’t know about you, but I wouldn’t be too keen to trade a handful of rifle bullets or a sack of flour for something that’s basically just going to sit around looking shiny.

Another Day in Victoria Obeying the COVID Laws. Sigh.

This week I was so in AWE of a new hero, retailer Harry Hutchinson, who opened up his clothing shop in Melbourne DESPITE Covid-19 restrictions in Melbourne. You see, draconian laws mean that you can be fined up to 10,000 dollars for opening up your store. But that wasn't good enough for Hutchinson. Utterly fed up, he opened anyway. To their credit, Melbournians (in the 5 km zone they were allowed to move in) flocked to his store, buying what they could in support of his move. His online clothing went gangbusters, and he sold nearly all his online stock. People were buying things and leaving them behind - just giving him money in support of what he did.

Should We Spend Time Trying To Place Logic To Our Paradoxical Universe?

Sometimes we're conflicted, life's telling us something but then our mind is totally conflicting this and it seems we're tilting to one side of the fork in the road but then the path we're not taking makes it feel our initial choices might be wrong and then we begin to get wary of the repercussions that might result from doing the things we think to be right even if generally we know it's possible we might just about be wrong. In reality we recognise the paradox that lies in almost everything that concerns life. We want to be proven wrong when we predict negative circumstances but then we want to get the satisfaction of being right. I'll tell you something about being right and that's the fact that it vindicates our choices and limits our regret to some particular extent.
