Jesús le dijo: "Amarás al Señor tu Dios con todo tu corazón, con toda tu alma y con toda tu mente. 38 Este es el primer y gran mandamiento. 39 Y el segundo es semejante: Amarás a tu prójimo como a ti mismo (Mateo 22: 37-39).
El amor propio es lo que te ayuda a ser amable contigo mismo. Si no eres amable contigo mismo, por supuesto, no serás amable con los demás.
Hay que descubrir lo que hay en cada uno de nosotros para alcanzar un alto nivel de amabilidad. Ten la mejor opinión de ti mismo y una buena aceptación de ti mismo y entonces, lograrás la correcta autoestima y esto te impulsará a ser amable con los demás.
Las personas que se golpean a sí mismas con palabras y muestran rechazo a sí mismas serán entonces personas muy violentas en su trato con los demás. En la medida en que nos valoramos tal y como somos crecemos en el amor propio.
Cuando eres amable contigo mismo, entonces, serás una persona muy educada y con mucho afecto hacia los demás. No olvides que como te gusta que te traten, también debes tratar a los demás.
Si das amor fraternal, recibirás lo mismo.

Be kind to yourself.
Jesus said to him, "You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul and with all your mind. 38 This is the first and great commandment. 39 And the second is like it: You shall love your neighbor as yourself (Matthew 22: 37-39).
Self-love is what helps you to be kind to yourself. If you are not kind to yourself, of course, you will not be kind to others.
You have to discover what is in each of us to reach a high level of kindness. Have the best opinion of yourself and a good acceptance of yourself and then, you will achieve the right self-worth and this will propel you to be kind to others.
People who beat themselves up with words and show rejection of themselves will then be very violent people in their dealings with others. To the extent that we value ourselves as we are we grow in self-love.
When you are kind to yourself, then, you will be a very polite person with a lot of affection towards others. Don't forget that as you like to be treated, you should also treat others.
If you give brotherly love, you will receive the same.
Being kind to oneself is a synonym of spiritual greatness, self-love is like loving God at all times.
