Woke up to sprinkles on the tent as a storm system grazed us as it moved north to the east of us. Went down to the lake to see the morning light before everyone else was awake.
After eating and everyone getting packed up the boys went to play some gaga ball. In the tree overhead was one of the local Osprey sitting there watching out over the lake.
The rest of the pack took off and we were the last ones at the lake. The boys got a little while to play in the sand before we had to leave.
It was a short drive home and as soon as I had everything unpacked I headed out to get picking in the garden. This is my biggest summer squash, a Dunja I think, and it is huge. I will have to decide when to pick it and the others for seed. I want the seeds fully mature so will just let it go for now. You can see how big it is next to my blade.
First day over 30 pounds and I have over 170 pounds to deliver tomorrow morning.
The cucumbers gave me 30 for the day. The one bright one was one that got missed as it had grown under the plastic. I only noticed it due to seeing a lump in the plastic.
All the animals needed their waters filled and the alpaca got her customary soaking. I have to start getting round bales again for the sheep.
R spent some time on the climbing wall and did pretty well despite being barefoot and disgusting dirty.
My afternoon was spent picking gooseberries. The boys couldn't seem to be able to so I went through and got what I could. I ended up with 2 pounds of the Pixwells and 2.5 pounds of the Captivator. They are all in the fridge for now.
I had my co-op board meeting which went well and nice and fast, we were done around 6:30. Soaked after a much needed shower. It was still disgusting warm out after dark and I left the a/c on overnight until I woke up at 3am and opened the house up for the morning. It helped a bit but it is still just under 70F in the house this morning.
The boys have swim lessons this morning, I have harvests, orders to get ready for tomorrow morning delivery when I will also be picking up grain at the breweries in town. I am going to call about hay today and hopefully pickup a few bales to get the process going.

Ahhhh, gooseberries. I'd like to add some of those here.
The Pixwell I bought at the farm store but the Captivators I got through our local extension's plant sale for natives. The Pixwell are a couple years older but the Captivators have caught up fairly well.
