Happy Thanksgiving from Canada eh !

My son and I went hiking and kayaking on the Big Rideau up North, Eastern Ontario Canada over the weekend.

The Fall colours were amazing and we spotted several deer along the Lake.

We got pretty close to this guy who was happy to pose for a few photos.

Still lots of boats out on the water...

yes, canadian thanksgiving pre-dates american thanksgiving by a century or so.

It is most likely tied to the Festival of Sukkot in Israel. ... sometimes called the Feast of ingathering ... like an Autumn Harvest Festival....
